He’s a history major and it shows. His knowledge of the city and country runs deep. By the end of this 2-hour tour we felt we had a solid foundational understanding of the history, geography, and attractions of Lisbon. I have to admit that I had not prepared for the visit in any way so I probably walked past many interesting things. - Maps6981226 contributionsThis was a WONDERFUL experience. We got to see so many dolphins, and learned so much about the ecology of the area! Highly, highly recommend doing this on your next trip to Portugal. So amazing!

It was just me and a lady from Brazil on our tour on January 12, 2025. He explained everything, gave us tidbits of information you can only receive from a local and was so enthused about sharing his country and city with us. - YP717London, UK47 contributionsI came back for another ride with Free Bike Tours Lisbon after doing the lovely Belem cycle with Sylvia last year. I was not disappointed. The Sintra-Cascais tour was the highlight of my trip :-) Maya was an excellent guide and kept the group safe, took us to some beautiful viewpoints and gave us a nice history lesson. The cycling route up and down the hills in the National Park was exhilarating broken up by a delicious lunch at the local farmers’ market. The car and pedestrian traffic does get very busy on weekends around the palaces but Maya did a good job taking us to some quieter spots. The cycle along the Atlantic coast to Cascais beach was a beautiful and relaxing way to end the ride. It was an amazing day covering a lot of distance but you have the option to challenge yourself as much or as little as you wish with the e-bikes. We had a great friendly group of 6 and I loved it! The instructor was the heart and soul of it all—kind, encouraging, and with a passion for surfing that’s downright contagious. - Laura S1 contributionWe are a family of 5 (including 3 young adults) and we had an amazing day with Ricardo in December 2024. After returning home from our 2 weeks in Portugal, this bike tour was voted our favorite thing we did while there. The e-bikes were simple to ride and provided the much-needed push climbing the hills around Sintra. At our stops with Ricardo, we learned so much about the history of the area and Portugal in general. The lunch was a perfect respite from our cycling and it was so nice to be in a little place that it seems only the locals would know about...Riding back down the hills to the beach and looking back at the top to see where we had just been....incredible!
