- Fernando P4 contributionsI went to Athens Chess Club for the first time on the last Sunday of November 24, and I was welcome by the organiser and administrator guru Fotini. She was incredible nice and competent in what she does, which included creating a wonderful and friendly atmosphere. Of course, people were extraordinary friendly and welcoming.
Fontini was very kind to let me play a Blitz tournament on the night, and I enjoyed it a lot something I will always remember when I go back to Sydney, Australia.

First off all I fully respect him in the difficult field of our work space! He never failed me and I always admire his commitment to survive proudly. If he wasn’t a strong survivor for his family and his passion for his craft I wood never follow his invitation! Usually (in my humble experience) martial arts is an obvious display for fake power and dominance. We were taken back to how Greece developed from city states to modern times. Just enough history to set the scene to explain how a small army of Greeks managed to defeat the overwhelming Persian army and the tactics used to do it. We got to try out the methods used and it really was an eye opener I'm a tour guide myself on the Isle of Skye and I really learned a lot from this thoughtful and intelligent young man. - KostasAthens, Greece1 contributionDespite the fact that I was reluctant in the first place, playing 5 A Side football with locals in Athens/Greece, constituted at all points an incomparable and stimulating experience!
So, if you are going to visit Athens sooner or later, I definitely recommend you to do this beneficial activity. First and foremost, you will enjoy an above-average level of football with the locals. You don’t have to worry about your skills, since this wonderful group of people are going to adapt to your style! Regardless of the football experience, you will be able to spend a fruitful time with your teammates, while you will have the chance to drink a cup of coffee, drink a beer and share your thoughts after the end of the game. Let alone the delicious greek food choices...
I would like to thank all the guys for being so friendly and hospitable. However a special thanks goes to George, a guy with excellent organizing expertise and a well mannered person! Everything was so well organised and Xtreme Greece was always available to answer any questions we had. Super easy service, friendly and helpful. - SIO CHUI L2 contributionsA group of 6 of us were in Athens, and booked all our hotel airport transfers and private tours via Filippis Tours. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would recommend anyone to book yr tours with Stamatis! Highly responsive, giving great truthful advice and very patient with all our questions was alrdy a great start! What followed thru was useful reminders and caring emails along our journeys. Our guide Pandeliz was fabulous! Eager to share his wealth of knowledge, pointing out the most interesting parts of the museums to us and making great restaurants recommendations just to name a few! The drivers were all very punctual, helpful and cars used are clean and new. Special mention was our young driver who took us to Corinth tour, his service and attentiveness was just exceptional!!! Thank you Filippis Tpurs for a great Athens experience! - FiskardoKayaks42 contributionsFrom start to finnish a great experience, quick easy booking through Stefania, who was only welcoming and helpful, to the practical lessons and training with Martin, I can only say it was a well worth it. Martin was a great instructor who was always, calm, informative and there to help us students learn and grow our boating confidence and knowledge, not critique and make a student feel unsure, which is counterintuitive to the whole concept of learning.
