Had a great time exploring the town of paros! Highly recommend going into the hills for a walk to see the sunset :D I visited there from my sailing boat and stopped in parokia marina who were super help and relatively cheap compared to other ports.

Took my time admiring this amazing gem. Explored the grounds at night and during the day. Amazing. So glad I added Paros my travels unexpectedly because it offered up some of the most lovely sights I could have imagined.

We drove to Lefkes village from Naoussa and parked up above the town. We walked down to explore the village and found it to be sweet with cobblestone streets, cafes, shops, homes, flowers, and a lovely church with beautiful architecture. We picked up coffee and from the right side of the church wall, we located the entrance path for the Byzantine road hike. Lefkes is a lovely town and worth a morning or afternoon if you want to explore away from Naoussa.

Pretty town with charming streets to explore, interesting local shops, and some good cafes. Well worth a visit. Streets get crowded during high season so visit early in the day so you can take photos!

My wife and I visited this lovely little museum so full of the most amazing workmanship. The collection has taken one man, Benetton’s 40 years of love and labour alongside his wife Popi, who thankfully had the vision to make it into a museum.
We really enjoyed talking with Benetos daughter Katerina, who continues to be passionate about communicating the Cycladic history and culture. Benetos sailed all around the Cyclades recording and then reconstructing what he saw.
This is an hour or two well spent if you really want to get a flavour of these islands. You can’t buy much for 5 euros these days, money well spent.
Thank you Katerina, Mark &Annabel from Wales, UK.

Wonderful wines in a semi-intimate setting.
small winery for tastings. It is not a vineyard but an excellent place to go to sample wines and drink wines while have snacks or a light meal.
Almost impossible not to buy a bottle or more to bring home.

We took the ferry from town to Kolympethres on our last full day in Paros. It was super easy, you’re there in less than 15 minutes and you do not need to prebook anything. I think it was 10 EUR per person round trip. Pick up for the return ferry is the same pier and I think they come every 30 minutes.

A lot of people complain about the cost of the day beds here, and I agree they are pretty steep for the quality of bed that you get. But we just bought our own towels and mat to sit on while we were drying off. No big deal. We had a good time - the water is very calm and easy to swim in. There are hardly any waves at all. But if you want cute pictures, I do recommend coming out on the first ferry because as we were leaving in the early afternoon, it was packed.

Nice sandy beach with cedars for shade. Stayed near the south end and had plenty of shade from the afternoon sun under the cedars. The sand is a golden brown and moderate to coarse texture. The water was very calm and shallow with a sandy bottom. It slopes off gradually and is shoulder depth about 20 meters from shore. Perfect for a swim. There was a light breeze. The south end of the beach was nearly 100% nudist. Many couples, gay and straight, with about as many singles. All ages were there. Didn’t see any children. The beach was moderately full but not overcrowded. No textiles were spotted anywhere near the south end. There may have been some further north but we didn’t go that far.

For access to the south (nudist) end of the beach, park at 37.1328880, 25.2700390. (Ignore directions from google maps). The road is narrow with rock walls on both sides. Park as close to the north wall as possible. Fold in your mirrors. Walk directly west along the narrow road with rock walls on each side until you get close to the shore. Then the path heads north. Follow the well worn path past the church then along the shoreline until you get beyond the rock outcrops. That’s where the sandy beach begins. From the parking area to the beach should take no more than 5 minutes walking. While sandals could be worn, I suggest close toed shoes for the hike.

This was our first nude beach experience and it was perfect. Nude beach or not, this beach is a must see.

The beach was very nice, sandy with clear water. We rented the 2nd row of beds for €50 as the first was for €70, its quite expensive.
    The toilets were super clean.
The service was very gd and fast . The food was really great. Greek salad was a big portion and the burger was very tasty. we paid approximately €80 for 2 greek salads and 2 burgers plus some non alcholic drinks
it got a bit windy in the afternoon.

We took the ferry from Parikia to Martselo Beach. In June 2023 a return ticket cost €9, one way was €6, and the boat ran hourly earlier in the day, and 2x/hr during the busier point in the day.

We chose NOT to book a bed/use the organized spots on the beach. We took the first ferry and found many of the shady spots were taken by local families who drove or walked to the beach from nearby. But we did find a shady spot. Later in the morning, there were enough people on the beach that two other locals asked if they could join us in our shady spot. (Of course we said yes.)

Our hotel owner said that later (in July and August), the beach can get much, much busier. Particularly if you are looking to NOT book a bed at one of the clubs. Also, ask your hotel if they have a beach umbrella they will loan you.

Nice sandy beach with a lot of wind and bigger waves. The beach is sandy and over one kilometre long however the sun bed area was a bit dirty and more on the rough side. When we went all eve restaurants were closed for the season. If you are a surfer, paddler and a kite surfer great place but for the area I find it very dirty. I would not recommend. There is a convenience store with snacks and drinks.

We drove over to Paros Park one evening in hopes of watching the movie under the stars. We were bummed to find out there was going to be no movie that day. They canceled the movie because there was going to be a Jazz Concert at the amphitheater, so we stayed for that instead! It was a great show under the stars!
