What travellers are saying
- ellie cNorth Vancouver, Canada24 contributionsDid a morning hike with a friend when we were at Santorini. I’m so glad we did this as the views along the Aegean Sea coastline are truly remarkable and breathtaking, pictures definitely do not do it justice💙
8km, about two hours one way🚩

💡The trail is in the resorts neighbourhood, so it’s a bit tricky to find. Google “Kapari Wine Restaurant” as it’s right by the trail. Once you find the trail, it’s well marked.
💡I read on AllTrails it’s easier to go from Fira/Imerovigli to Oia as it’s downhills. Let me assure you here, THERE ARE UPHILLS as well - nothing too challenging but it is more difficult under the sun as there are no shades throughout most of the trail.
💡We saw two places that sell water/drinks on our way, before reaching Oia. One was a truck before some uphills, and one was a small booth that was right off the highway.Written 30 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Justine S16 contributionsThis is a must do in Santorini. Park on the roach down as there is no parking and small turning space at the bottom or access it via the steps down from Oia. Walk through the restaurants and along the edge of the sea, on the path to the small dock area and then swim across to the cliff jumping area. Very scenic and fun to watch people jumping. No life guards and lots of litter which is unfortunate. Lovely overall experience.
The walk there is not paved and is mostly flat but there are sections where you have to climb over rocks.Written 4 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Geoff HSissinghurst, UK7,882 contributionsThis is a museum that should be on your "to do" list as it absolutey amazing to see some of the items unearthed at Akrotiri, a city that was in existence before the volcano. The items are presented in an interesting way with informative descriptions. Downstairs there is an audio-visual presentation and display of the more larger items.Written 5 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Geoff HSissinghurst, UK7,882 contributionsIf you want sun, beach and places to eat then Kamari Beach is the place for you. Behind the beach, which is stoney rather than sandy, is a strip of restaurants and behind that there is a little town with shops for clothes and other mementos of your visit to Santorini. There are plenty of sun beds on the beach but these are mainly owned by the restaurants on the strip. However, have something to eat or drink and a sunbed can be yours for the day. One drawback though is, that being near to the airport, the planes come in quite low and quite often.Written 4 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DeepeshBIndore, India116 contributionsI would recommend going in only if you are interested in looking at the excavations. It's a quite big shaded area around the excavation site, if you are into such stuff, should definitely go in!Written 4 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Pankaj ShahKusadasi 66 contributionsOIA is brillaintly set by Nature in such a way that one can not miss exceptionally exclusive views of Nature"s creation everywhere
Man added exquisite boutiques, Coffee shops , Restaurants with galleries and nice clean lanes
The result is OMG amd WOW place
The Sunset is so clear and so divine that one dips into Holy Feeling in sink with Sun
The weather and clesr sky helped all around OIA to see this beautiful spectacle of GOD ALMIGHTY

- AlexC1 contributionBest wine tasting experience I've ever had and i live near many wine regions in California. I did the wine tasting+ food pairing and each dish was exquisite and paired perfectly with the food prepared. We enjoyed 3 fish appetizers and 1 beef dish and ended with a sweet light dessert. I highly recommend this for your trip in Santorini!Written 1 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- The_Glovers_UKLeeds, UK416 contributionsHaving done another wine tasting earlier in the week that was a little more expensive (ok quite a bit more) we weren’t sure what to expect here but thought we would give it a go nonetheless. The 8 wines for €18 was brilliant value and our guide explained the different production methodologies of each of the wines we tasted.Written 2 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Andy ParkerNewark-on-Trent, UK219 contributionsThis beach is not only the beach, but one of the main places in Perissa to eat and drink. The road along the beach is crowded with bars, restaurants and shops and ice cream places. There are some lovely hotels on the front too.
This was about300 yards from Gardenia hotel and an ideal alternative to going to the main road. You could have a seat inside or out on the beach. All types of food were here, although slightly dearer than the main road, but a lot more choice.Written 4 July 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Stacey AyLondon, UK20 contributionsAmazing views from a stunning location. It is worth locating the three bells and spending some time here. Take a drink, some nibbles and sit, take it all in, and enjoy.Written 4 June 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MrMrsHappyRLiverpool, UK937 contributionsBeautiful small cathedral located in Fira. Has a lovely interior. Currently (May 22) you need to wear masks inside. At nighttime it is lit up beautifully.Written 30 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
