Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The sunset in Oia are the best I have ever seen! No matter where you are in the City please watch the sunset as the colors are spectacular! Worth the look and time !

This is a wonderful site that is a must see if you are interested in history and archaeology. There are lots of signs around to tell you what you are looking at but the artefacts found at the site are not there, which is a real shame. To see them you have to travel to the museum in Fira and I so wish they had been left on site.

Absolutely stunning and worth the climb but be aware - this is not accessible to the physically challenged and there is no parking and no amenities.

This town was such a surprise. Our hotel and guide both told us to walk there but they "underplayed" how nice this town was!! This town was a highlight of our time in Santorini even on a cloudy day with "tornadic winds." The stores were interesting and not quite as touristy as other towns. Highly recommend.

This is a beautiful picture perfect place, lots of scammers looking to get your money! Food in this area is over priced by 5 times the price outside the area, rental of ATV is over priced and they scammed me… have one price and it became double that price, the hotel we stayed at was on the cliff side and amazing view, but there are so many tourists that it’s very hard to enjoy the space and walkways are uncomfortably tight, my advice is to see the sunrise and sunset from the area of the water treatment plant, opposite to the castle and wind mill

It's a nice scenic road through villages to get there. A small 5 minute hike and have great views of santorini. Takes like 20 minutes from Fira.

One of the most photographed islands in the aegean, Santorini is simple stunning and Oia is the jewel in the crown.
Well maintained paved paths are very touristy and full of shops, restaurants and bars. Fantastic place for a day visit but hellishly expensive to stay there.
    A "must see" venue.

We stopped by this church briefly as we did the Fira to Oia walking trail. There is a great view of the water below, the volcano and the west coast of Santorini. There are a couple of benches in the area too if you want to take a quick break.

There is signage which leads you to the viewpoint so you can see the blue dome and three bells which is a postcard view. There are some statues of pigeons in fun positions nearby and when I visited I met a very photogenic cat.

It is free to visit. The interior is splendid. The chandelier is beautiful. Walls are well painted. The ambience is tranquil and not crowded.

What a beautiful art gallery. The artist is a Greek local artist with a lot of talent. His artwork was costly; the most miniature painting was worth a few thousand dollars. They ship everywhere via DHL for a fee. I appreciate his work; it is worth a visit, even if it is just to look and admire.

The “classic” blue domes of Oia in Santorini. It was very busy when we visited but we were able to get some great photos of the domes and the view. Worth the time invested to visit; walk along the top of the hill as there are some neat shops and you can find other spots to enjoy the view that are less crowded.

A wonderful town to visit while in Santorni, Greece. There is some uphill walking but from the town center to the top of the hill is not very far. Parking can be busy so get there early in the morning.

Very quiet Greek antique village, a little different than others, some very narrow allies with impossible entrances, ruined houses next to residential houses and a few nice churches
