What travellers are saying
- Griff049Bromborough, UK71 contributionsFinally got to the beach on the 2nd attempt, 1st time we arrived mid afternoon after visit the caves and it was far to busy, we're people parked at the top and walked down, so we came back 2 days later, arrived approx 11am, weather wasn't the best but we preserved, then it got better and we spent good 4 hours here, beautiful. No sunbeds or umbrellas or bar though, all closed, it was a Sunday of that makes a difference. We drove from Lassi, nice drive approx 45 mins.Written 15 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Griff049Bromborough, UK71 contributionsWell worth a visit if your touring the island, we arrived approx 10am and waited maybe 10 mins quing up for a ticket, then another 5 mins to get on the boat...the capatain was fantastic, gave all the relevant information about the history of the cave, its worth a visit if your into your history and learning, it is only a short boat ride, 10mins at 10euro each, but we enjoyed it...as we left at approx 11am, it was getting extremely busy, several coachs, and car park very full...as we hired a car for the week so we're able to visit at a time that suited us, early morning seemed the best to avoid long ques. Then we drove to Drogarati CaveWritten 13 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Cloclo2903Doncaster133 contributionsWent for a day in August with a 6 year old
The waves are rough so we laid on the shore letting them roll us over and had so much fun- beautiful drive there and gorg scenery- we went to kousoros taverna for food and it was lovelyWritten 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We had a lovely relaxing massage in the gazebo
Also had lunch there everyday which was great food
Our server on the beach was LEIDINA
She was very happy and pleased to see us and very attentive

A few jumps in the water, a swim to the beach and a lovely lunch.Written 18 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Fleur PShrewsbury, UK124 contributionsEasy access we’ve visited twice now. Once down a steep entrance with stairs at the bottom and the last time a gentler descent which I preferred. It’s sandy too so no slippery shoes!
Beautiful beach lots of shaded beds €35 for a pair. They will serve drinks & snacks to you.
There’s a beach bar also. Self service a bit pricey but ok food.
Seas lovely and warm. While we were there it was a bit wavy which was lovely.
A busy beach especially at weekends. But not over crowded.
Lots of people had their own umbrellas etc. which you can buy from shops at the top of the road. There’s also a few restaurants within easy reach if you want to have lunch off the beach.
Well worth a day out.Written 8 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The water is beautiful but can be very busy. If you are looking for the tranquil kind of beach I would recommend going up towards fiskardo.Written 5 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Themis T6 contributionsThe two young men running the small bar at kaminia beach are beyond professionals. Me and my family and friends met them the night before outside a restaurant and they promised to book a couple of umbrellas and beach beds. The small beach bar there has a small but amazing variety of food all good quality, for a beach bar, but outermost of all, the professionalism when he comes to service from the owners is what one would expect in Greece.
Without doubt it was the friendliest place I've been in kefalonia.
👍👍Written 9 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Amanda F64 contributionsWhat a lovely beach. A stone’s throw from Fiskardo harbour and just a short drive down the approach to the beach. We arrived at 4:30pm so there was a parking space free in the little car park at the bottom, but there’s plenty of parking all the way down along the road. There’s a small shack selling drinks etc and you can hire a 1970s striped deck chair that’s seen better days for €5. You can hire SUPs, swim, snorkel and enjoy the shallow turquoise waters. The beach is busy and full of families. Shame about people smoking but hey ho, that’s Greece. Well worth a visit and a lovely taverna at the top of the road with a view to die for.Written 5 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gtsakVrilissia, Greece716 contributionsMaybe the best beach in the island
Magical colours amazing waters and peaceful beach
You can go only by small boats and a very tough path walking for 45 min
It worth every minute there
Try not to miss this beautiful beach
Is a must in Kefalonia
Deep water and crystal clearWritten 29 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews. - Ronald KUtrecht, The Netherlands47 contributionsThe scenery is absolutely stunning. The wines are even more delicious and the ladies explaining the wines are so lovely, nice, friendly and most of all knowledgeable of the wines that this is a must go to. Don't forget to order also the Bruschetta 😉Written 14 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- becnhughWickford, UK494 contributionsWe were staying near Lixouri so got the bus €2 each and then the ferry €3 each (each way) over to Argostoli Harbour a couple of times. The harbour area is lovely for a walk around and if you get there before 11 am you are quite likely to see the turtles as the fishermen clean their catches and throw the bits into the water. We were lucky enough to see them! Plenty of cafes along the harbour although we went into the town for our drinks! There are also many boats offering tours and smaller boats to hire and drive yourselves. We went out on a sunset cruise with Queen Bee which we can recommend.Written 11 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
