A few tavernas along the beach and a kids play area with water sports. We did paragliding that was €80 for 2 people or €60 a single person. The hotel is small and comfortable very relaxing would recommend this hotel.The bus service is excellent and regular 3 euros single to skiathos town. Water transparent and clear, but a negative aspect are the many boats, tied up to the beach and the boat corridor, who basically takes a quite huge space of the (small) bay. - 4chGeesWirral, UK10 contributionsWe enjoyed a wine tasting here. The setting was stunning. You are so high that you look down on planes landing at the airport. There was no rush and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this. Taxis were 25 euros from Skiathos town so we caught the monastery minibus and walked the last section. You need to really like walking and steep hills if you decide this is the way to go. - MyOpinion1961Leicester, UK28 contributionsWe hired a jeep whilst on the island of Skiathos and decided to take an evening drive, specifically to watch the sun set on Agia Elini. If you are using a 4 x 4 vehicle you can easily drive all around this coastline and there are some lovely places to stop, very close to a beach.
Although there is a beach bar (aptly named “Sun Set Bar”) where you can grab a drink and maybe a little something to eat our experience wasn’t good! All I wanted was 1 beer and 1 cappuccino. The young male was totally and utterly hopeless. It took him an absolute age to work out how to use the machine and kept asking me if the coffee was okay. I couldn’t work out if he was the village idiot or he was deliberately trying to wind me up? It’s was as if no one really wanted your business and it was an inconvenience for them to serve you. When I went to pay, again more problems. I was asked to pay at the bar next door!
