We love modern architecture and design, and quirky sites and facts, and Asser customised the tour to meet our preferences.
We had a private tour with Asser on a Sunday afternoon in November (chilly) where we took in some fantastic modern architecture sights around Copenhagen both north and south of the river.

Once there, however there's lots of lovely shady areas to have a picnic, hiking pathways to take a short hike or just climb up onto the sand dunes and enjoy being in the desert with a view of the sea.
Huge dunes with views of both seas
Rubjerg Knude Lokken
The big sand dunes which move every year several meters and the great view make this place absolutely amazing and worth to visit!
From there, you can climb to the top to see fantastic views - and get your head blown off by the mighty wind.
Grenen Skagen
We walked the beach on a warm, sunny morning to where the two seas meet.. FUN! so cool to experience this nature site in northern Denmark.
A short walk along the beach with wide views across the dunes takes you to the meeting of the two seas.
Egeskov Castle Odense
Enjoy tackling the willow maze with an ice cream or sit with a picnic taking in views of the castle moat - so much to do.
The path takes you in a trip around the slot and gives a nice different view every time.

Best if you go by bike (it's 10 min far away of the center), after the tour, streets and views are very nice.

Jelling Mounds, Runic Stones and Church Jelling
Poul Erik Jespersen was knowledgeable and enthusiastic as he guided us through the archaeological site, told us about the history and translated the rune stones.
The interactive museum gave a very vivid and stimulating view of viking history and the jelling stones and the birth of Denmark.
Mon Is Stege
Beautiful wooded cliffs, cliff top walk with breathtaking views
As expected, the views were spectacular but the steps to get to the beach takes its toll.
Musikhuset Aarhus Aarhus
The hall itself is grand and beautiful with comfortable seats and a great view of the stage from all areas.A MUST VISIT.
In front of the entrance foyer, there is Music Hall Park, with pretty flowers, boxwood hedges and lots of benches to sit and admire the view.
Hammershus Bornholm
The New Visitor's Centre adapts discretely and beautifully to the landscape, offers a fantatic view to the Castle ruin and sports an informative, unobtrusive introduction to the castle's and the island's history.
These ruins are gorgeous and fascinating -- you'll get great photos of cliffs and ocean views and interesting for kids of all ages.
The Danish Railway Museum Odense
Frederiksberg Slot Frederiksberg
On the way back to the cruise ship, the bus took the coastal road and we had great views of the shoreline houses and the locals enjoying the beach.
I love castles and this is so beautiful and has such a lovely view over the entire city - very beautiful.
Our Saviour's Church Copenhagen
Everyone goes for the amazing spire with its steps on the outside, and really great view from the top, but go inside the church as well, as this place is truly gorgeous and inspirational.
The sometimes challenging ascent of this church tower is rewarded with fantastic views of Copenhagen which makes it well worth the effort!

Ribe Vikinge Center Ribe
The dozens of engaging staff members are outstanding as they explain the buildings and event sites, provided interesting insights into Viking life and did so in at least 3 languages (English, Danish, and German).
Lots to see and do, and a great little gift shop on site (we were lucky enough to get our hands on a 'Viking cooking pot' for her as a birthday gift).
Ribe Domkirke Ribe
Take your time to spot all the sights of the town from here - then you have the perfect overview of how to plan your walk.
It cost 20 DKR and includes a visit to the tower (many steps) with excellent views to Ribe town and the marshes to the west.

Apart from being a central library, there is plenty of space to study, a nice cafe and some fantastic views of the docklands regeneration area.
