Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Little Mermaid is one of those iconic statues across the world that you just have to see when visiting certain cities. As a tour guide referenced to us, ‘it is spectacularly underwhelming!’

That being said I wouldn’t have missed it, we got some great photos and I have seen something with my own eyes that until now I’ve only seen in photos.

If in Copenhagen, it’s a must but it won’t take up much of your day.

especially liked the spray from nose. See it at same time as the mermaid (bigger and better than) and citadel.

Impressive city hall building on the side of a large paved square. Interesting architecture and a few towers around. Busy square with traffic and shops and cafes all nearby.

This sculpture is a favorite of most tourists especially children who have read the wonderful stories penned by Anderson, one of Denmark's most famous authors. It is prominently located next to City Hall and adjacent to Tivoli Gardens.

We actually found 9 giants instead of 6.. Not sure why they only list 6.. We loved the adventures and people we met along the way... Perfect for kids

The character is near the harbour and not too far from the it the mermaid. It seems to be made from spare parts and shaped in the form of depressed man sitting on a big long key. It is a genius design and is the first I have seen. It is really an impressive statue.

The canal cruise was the best. It was the perfect length. I think I got more than I expected . With so much gorgeous buildings enroute and we got to see the little Mermaid and her visitors from the waters. It was really interesting cruise. The boat was warm and all went beautiful. I will highly recommend.

I personally quite like this statue of the two Lure Players close to City Hall. They stand atop a brick column. Good photos of it can be made using different compositions. I wouldn't go out of my way to see it but the chances are you'll visit the City Hall on your visit to Copenhagen so you can see it then.

As equestrian monuments go this is a good one.
Bishop Absalom on horseback is at the end of Hoejbo Plads, right across the road from where he built his castle over 800 years ago and where Christiansborg Palace now stands.

Just a few minutes walk away from the packed main attraction, yet this was completely deserted! Interesting to see the differences between both statues, and definitely worth a quick visit if you stop by the Little Mermaid.

This equestrian statue stands in the middle of the four buildings of the Amalienborg Palace and, reputedly, cost more than the four buildings of the palace together. Obviously the French sculptor was a darn good negotiator, as well as an excellent sculpt.

With a daughter who has just completed a Masters in Philosophy, we had been urged to seek out Kierkegaard wherever we could, whilst in Copenhagen. This statue is in the garden of the Royal Library, and as statues go, it's pretty good. I had read that Mr K was a bit weird looking in real life, but he looks pretty normal here. We also tracked down his gravestone (easy to find) and the site of his house (not so easy).
Lovely quiet place to sit and relax. I'm not going to add a photo - there's only so many you can take of a statue!

Touching memorial. The memorial wall is small but powerful. The grounds surrounding the monument is a nice stroll. There are several other significant sights located very close to see.

Interesting to see the grave of a treasured writer, whose works are beloved.

With a grand floral tribute in front, the grave is marked with an unostentatious stone containing just his details and a quotation.

The many historical bronze statues throughout Copenhagen give the city so much character. This monument to Niels Juel in prominently displayed on an island in the middle of a busy intersection a short walk from Christianborg Palace. Niels Juel was a 17th century admiral in the Royal Danish Navy and a Danish naval hero. The pose and majesty of the statue makes it particularly impressive.
