- Samuel PasaribuBekasi, Indonesia2,648 contributionsWe enjoy visiting the Raitola Reindeer and Husky Farm where we could take pictures and feed them. Going around the reindeer-drawn carriage is also interesting. Then we get an explanation about reindeer life while enjoying warm drinks and cinnamon in the hut. After that we walked about 200 m to the husky farm and we rode in a cart pulled by several huskies. This experience is more interesting than the reindeer sled as the huskies run pretty fast and the reindeers just go slower. After that we visited Santa Claus Village for about 2 hours and then we were driven back to the inn.
Anyway, we expected a private tour as mention in the information when we book this trip. But the fact is only the transport was private. During the visit in reindeer and husky farm we joined with other group so we had to queue for a moment. The visit in Santa Claus Village sould be 3 hours and it became 2 hours because we spent more time to queue when doing activity in the farm. with Arctic GM. The tour was excellent and we experienced the Northern Lights for almost 2 hours after an almost 3 Hours drive from
Rovaniemi, had quite long mini bus ride, but it was worth while our Guide Mou checked all available forecasts to create this amazing experience. Additional hot berry juice within temperatures of -25 Celcius.
Our guide took some pictures with his camera as well and had sent us a link via whatsapp.

The walked distance was only 5km and wasn’t too challenging but a basic fitness level is recommended. We did take a lot of breaks though, which our guide Alessia used to provide us with nourishment as well as a ton of information about the canyon, waterfalls and Finland in general.
Overall, Alessia was a superb guide, highly entertaining and professional at the same time. I felt really safe with her!
Near the end of the hike we ate some grilled sausages and warmed ourselves up near the fire before going all the way up to the parking lot.

No joy with the Northern Lights due to cloud cover but still a fantastic experience on the snowmobiles. - Chelsey B3 contributionsThe snowmobiles were amazing, our guides Sammy, Luigi, and Lucas were nice and knowledgeable. They picked up from outside our hotel and dropped off as well. They provided outer layer of warm clothes, boots, socks, gloves, balaclava, and helmet. They gave clear instructions on how to operate the snowmobiles and made sure everyone stayed safe while riding. It was a magical evening while riding and we stopped for a fire and hot berry juice in the middle of the forest to look for the Aurora. A few recommendations for future tours: 1. Get the guests' sizes so the winter gear can be organized before the guests arrive to save time and make things a bit smoother. 2. Split the faster riders and from the family/slow riders from the start. 3. More snowmobiling on cloudy nights when there will most likely not be Aurora sightings. - Yvette M1 contributionWhat a fantastic experience we had, the company was very good, the protective clothing was excellent, the guide was fabulous, she went above and beyond in our trip, explaining things, taking photos for us, making sure we were warm after the ride and took us back to the hotel, there was a hiccup in timing but the company were very good in fixing things and even helped us get to the train station in the end. - Magnus SWyckoff5 contributionsThe property was old school and pristine, the sauna was hot, the lake was refreshing, snow was falling, and the smoke salmon dinner was delicious. All in all it was our favorite experience during our time in Rovaniemi and a great way to finish the trip. Tatiana and Pedro were incredibly gracious hosts and made us feel like it was our home from pickup to drop off.
