Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really kind and chill service, great selection and pricing. Cool and trendy clothes mainly fitted for men. Highly recommend!

Recycling clothes, tableware, books and furniture has steadily increased its popularity during the past year. Fida, a Finnish charity shop chain with many outlets all over Helsinki has just lenghtened the opening hours due to demand. The flagship store in an outstanding Art Deco building in the Design District is full of customers every day with locals bringing in donations from cupboards and attics they have had free time to clear. All items are inspected at the central warehouse but some treasures may find their way straight to this most popular store.

Besides Finnish Hagelstam a Scandinavian auction house operates too in Helsinki. It has recently moved from central Iso Roobertinkatu to Wanha Satama in Katajanokka beside the Viking Line terminal. You can come to check the merchandise personally in their warehouse, all the auctions are held on line only. If you are really interested in buying it is essential as the pictures never tell the whole story. On sale in December are paintings, design artefacts, furniture and jewellery mainly from the 20th century.

Love for Finnish cotton prints has largely influenced the existence of this vintage shop in Kannelmäki suburb. The best known label Marimekko is well represented also from the early years at Muija, which has even taken its name from one of their prints. The fabrics, mainly curtains all well washed and ironed have been organized in rows by designer as Ishimoto, Isola or by the type of print. Vintage designs from Tampella and Finlayson are also sold here, as well as Marjatta Metsovaara, even in new quality reproductions. A huge selection of tableware, glass, ceramics mainly from 1950's to 1980's fills the new larger premises by Kannelmäki local train station, easily reached from central Helsinki.

One of the oldest shops selling Finnish vintage design in Helsinki is situated near the Johannes Church by the no 10 tramline. The owner wants to concentrate on the high end pieces of glass and tableware starting from the 1960's. A collection of selected cotton and linen fabrics from the same period is also available. Plan your visit in advance as Bisarri is open only three days a week.

The past year has seen a boom in home decorating, especially vintage finds have been sought after to bring back pleasant memories. A Granny's Corner has been created at the back of the shop displaying nearly hundred years old pieces of our national brand Arabia. Ever popular Moomin items and the finest examples of 1950's-80's Finnish glass and tableware are also well stocked at Alice's near Töölöntori.
