Our tour guide Elisabet, was absolutely amazing! She gave us lots of interesting facts about traditional foods of Iceland and Icelandic history, and was thoroughly engaging. One if the best tour guides I have ever encountered. For anyone staying in Reykjavik this tour is a must!

The guide was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and I loved that I tired food I may never have found outside the tour.

We had such a fantastic tour with Bardi. We got to be adventurous and try not only delicious lamb stew, lobster stew and cod, but also things like dried haddock, smoked lamb on rye and harkarl. And of course, the most raved about hotdogs in the world with everything.
The food was very good and we also learned a ton about Icelandic history and Reykjavic culture. We did the tour on our first day in Iceland and Bardi really set the tone for us. His explanations of all things Icelandic gave us a stronger appreciation for the National Museum and even the Golden Circle than we might have otherwise had.
    Highly recommended!

This was truly a fantastic experience! I learned a lot about the history of Iceland and Reykjavik from Stefan, our guide. He was very engaging, shared lots of knowledge both historical and modern, and was very aware of what we could talk about while standing and what we could talk about while walking. I'm not particularly athletic but the route was quite an easy walk and the pace was steady but not too fast, which made it easy to keep up without feeling winded. Stefan also shared details about food options in the area, which maybe wasn't part of the agenda exactly but was still much appreciated. Overall I think it was a great, small tour that was absolutely a fantastic value, and I would really recommend this experience to anyone who wants to get a fun but informative history of Iceland!

We had a great time during our Food Tour, I didn't know about the folklore tour though and wish we had done that too as there is obviously so much to learn.
Big thank you to our friend, Addy, and we met some lovely people also doing the food tour and were lucky to have great company the whole night. Walking around Reykjavik and learning about the restaurants and the food was a treat, the food was great although we couldn't eat the shark - the smell.... But everything else was delicious. We should have listened when Addy told us about the only shop selling alcohol... It really is!!
    We will be back!!

It was great not only trying craft beers local to Iceland, but also learning more about the history of beer and how it has changed over the years.

This tour was AWESOME! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable on Iceland and its geography. The sights we saw as first timers in Iceland were just spectacular and the ice cream - which is FREE (part of the tour) - was some of the best I have had. On the trip, we saw several waterfalls, beautiful mountains through national parks and even got to see horses (not ponies) and the cows that produced the milk used for our ice cream. We loved using Troll Expeditions for our tour this time and when we go back to Iceland, you better believe we will be going through them again! HIGHLY recommend booking your tours through them if you are asking yourselves which group to go with!

I had a lot of fun on this trip even though I came alone! Everyone on the boat was really nice, the fishes were cooked on the boat and it was delicious. We even had the chance to see puffins. Would totally recommend it!

We tasted number of beers acompanied by food apetizers. Delicious meal, very good beer from local brewery and great host Donbyrd, who kept up sparkling conversation at table throughout whole evening. Can only recommend this great experience for any free evening in Reykjavik.

Nicolas and Carlos did an amazing job. We had a small wedding dinner with 11 people after our wedding/photo tour in the Snæfellness Peninsula. They arrived at our BnB before we returned to prepare. I was so impressed by how quickly and quietly they worked together, especially in our small kitchen.
The food was outstanding and our guests are still raving about it!
The correspondence with Nicolas was easy and he was very accommodating to my indecisiveness and a few changes. If you're considering hiring a chef, do it. They won't disappoint!
