What travellers are saying
- B TLondon, UK833 contributionsIt was very good, lots of very old pots, statues and things like that. Was mostly old archaeological things. Interesting to see. Guy on reception was a bit rude and unwelcoming.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- B TLondon, UK833 contributionsIt’s Avery good example of a old Turkish inn, now with lots of shops and cafes. Very nice atmosphere.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- davestlyAshford, UK569 contributionsThe monastery takes some time getting to, along winding roads. A very nice drive through the forest though. The monastery is not huge, but it is well kept. You can access the church part. There is also a show with the gifts you would expect. The views are fantastic. You can drive several km to one of the villages for lunch.Written 18 August 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- mk23961Nicosia, Cyprus13 contributionsLarge selection of their own brews, good food. Live music too (with good sound) occasionally. Worth looking up!Written 6 March 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Elizabeth VBognor Regis, UK763 contributionsThis is one of a number of painted churches in the Troodos Mountains, all of which are very attractive. Telling the story of the gospels to help a population who were unable to read. Unable to take photos inside, because of the potential impact on these paintings. In February, it was so quiet that our guide had to phone to get the churches opened for us. Surrounded by beautiful scenery.Written 2 April 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Aayushi S7 contributionsDefinitely one of the better museums in Nicosia! It's quite modern and has nice exhibits - it has a collection of A.G. Leventis' personal art collection from Cyprus, Greece, France and Italy.
Good for a few hours on a rainy day or when it's too hot to be outdoors.Written 19 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - B TLondon, UK833 contributionsIt’s an observation tower on the 11th floor. Gives a good view over Nicosia with boards pointing out buildings of interest. Also a good video about the history of Nicosia. View is not spectacular as you can’t really see any of the city walls and the Turkish part isn’t obvious. Nevertheless worth visiting.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- alinapopamConstanta, Romania12 contributionsI didn't went for the monestry, I went for the view and boy, I'm soooo glad I didi it. You can see the mountains ant the Sea both. It is totally worth it.Written 17 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- B TLondon, UK833 contributionsThis contained the history of Nicosia and had old maps and various things from the ottoman, Venetian and British periods. Free to get in.
Much older (thousands of years old) things are in the Cyprus museum.Written 25 May 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Kasun RathnayakaNicosia District, Cyprus6 contributionsVery beautiful and natural please, you want relax your mind, you like enjoying with your friends ,meet your family and celebrating this time,if you finding someplace enjoy your love with your partner I grant this place is betterWritten 14 October 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- laczkozsuDebrecen, Hungary834 contributionsWe saw this place and border lots of years ago, and we couldn’t go to the Turkish side then. It was a shock for us. Now we walked in the walking street, looked at the shopwindows and at the crossing point we just showed our IDCard and we crossed freely. It was in April so there were only a few people, we didn’t have to wait. It’s worth to visit it, but the division is really sad and poignant.Written 21 April 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- cotsios79Nicosia, Cyprus125 contributionsLocated in the center of the old housing of Menoiko is the church dedicated to Agios Kyprianos and Agia Ioustini. On October 2nd, the name-day of Agios Kyprianos and Agia Ioustini, crowds of worshipers from all over Cyprus come to Menoiko. On that day a big fair, which is actually one of the biggest in Cyprus, is organised at the community. Over the past few years, the church of Agios Kyprianos and Ioustini attracts worshipers from abroad as well, especially from various European countries and mainly Russia and other former Soviet Union countries.Written 31 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Boniface JNicosia, Cyprus110 contributionsthe zoo was compact and had a fairly wide selection of animals, some of which were in squalid conditions and kept like livestock. How did the owner get 3 white lions, is a good question, those 3 white lions are probably worth more than the entire surrounding village, yet that place is a dump. but for 3 euros entrance it's easily the best value animal attraction you;ll find anywhere, as zoo entrances in the EU are 5 to 10 times that price. Must be a front,
I liked feeding the animals, and got to see a Lemur who climbed out of his cageWritten 4 February 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Marietta KRhodes, Greece40 contributionsI would suggest visiting the temple especially if you are religious. It is rather a small church yet very beautiful located right at the center of Nicosia's city center.Written 13 December 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- pengemexBudapest, Hungary1,314 contributionsA big garage with lots of nicely renovated old motorcycles. Kind staff. It would be fun if child visitors could sit on some of them.Written 3 February 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
