Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Beautiful grounds and an amazing castle. I would recommend taking a tour of the inside, it's a fun way to learn more about the Habsburgs and the history of Vienna.

Whether it’s hopping the cafes and Christmas markets or living through history in the palaces and museums, you can’t go wrong in Vienna, probably the best city in Central Europe (each entitled to their own opinion, of course). I always felt safe and comfortable in this pedestrian-friendly, clean, welcoming place. The city center is larger than your Bruges or Salzburg, but that’s because Vienna really packs a punch for its size. Yet even while feeling sprawling, you still get this small-town charm that is missing in the likes of Lisbon or Amsterdam. I don’t know how to describe it.

A must visit when in Vienna. Very well organized with time slots. Besides the exhibitions which were amazing, spending time in the gardens was also wonderful.

The State Hall of the national library is straight out of Hogwarts! Incredible architecture, fabulous paintings and frescoes, soaring stacks of ancient books (potions and spells?), secret hidden doors, creaky old ladders on wheels, statues and sculptures, antique globes, and much more. Well worth the 10 euros (8 euros seniors) entry!

Amazing place, you can see the tower of the town hall from far away but it is definitely worth to see it up close.

Currently there is some work ongoing in the park upfront the city hall so it is impossible to take a picture with it (26th May 2024)

Very cool to see, you can get some cool pictures and there is a space where you can learn about the structure and buy some souvenirs

Fascinating museum devoted to the works of Hundertwasser. We particularly liked his designs for bookbindings and buildings. Great fun to walk around this building with its undulating floors and mosaic decorations. Sadly we didn't get to see much of the temporary exhibition as the fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the building. So we were very glad we had visited the main galleries first!

Really good interactive museum. Had so much fun starting with walking up the musical stairs and later virtually conducting the Vienna Philharmonic! For musical history buffs there was a section with a whole room devoted to each composer with a link to Vienna. My non-musical partner enjoyed it as much as I did.

Located in a small quiet courtyard , this is the most beautiful church I visited in Vienna. Unassuming looking from the outside, the inside is incredible and a feast for the eyes.

This place is cool! It had been on my bucket list for some time. We ubered from our hotel as this is downtown and very touristy and we figured it might be hard to get to. The uber dropped us at the door and we went right in for our self guided tour. Pictures were permitted and we took plenty. This was a very interesting place to visit and it took just under an hour.

A masterpiece. Must see! The surounding areas offer a very enjoyable walk. The setting of the church is beautiful. The inside is mindblowing. Two centuries after the Saint Charles church, Vienese architects proved able to keep producing the best pieces of architecture of their time and style. I enjoyed every moment of this visit and remain deeply impressed by the inspirational beauty of the church. Certainly one of the best moments of my one-week visit to Viena!

Embark on a unique journey that transcends Austrian palaces, offering a compelling look into the modern influences shaping our world. This tour provides a fascinating behind-the-scenes exploration of an institution actively contributing to global progress. The experience underscores the power of countries working together for the greater good. Our knowledgeable guide adds a delightful touch, seamlessly integrating captivating elements like a moon rock, space suits, encounters with foreign delegates, and a Tutankhamen mask while dog robots cavort in the background. This dynamic excursion goes beyond expectations, offering a concise yet eye-opening adventure into the intersection of modern Austria and its impactful role on the global stage. Prepare to be pleasantly surprised by the depth and relevance of this unconventional exploration.

Central Station (Haupfbahnhof) is major rail hub linking Vienna to various domestic and international destinations. You can also catch quick service to the airport from here as well. We recently completed return rail trip to Munich and found the station to be quite modern, easy to navigate and make proper use. You'll find expected facilities, food court, couple floors of retail shops and convenient access into Vienna to/from Hbf. We would have no problem doing rail journeys from Wien Hbf during future travel in the region.

A very nice building built in 1903 by otto wagner that changed architecture in vienna, the buildind has a free museam dedicated to wagner and the building was post saving bank and he designed not only the building but chairs and tables. Look at the roof as is very impressive. In front of the building is statue to georg coch and his square

Gorgeous!! Like the rest of Vienna, the courthouse is majestic. Inspiring to see (not a lot of ground to cover but worthwhile). Warmly recommend.
