Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna is truly amazing and incredibly beautiful. Compared to museums in the UK, it has fewer crowds, allowing for a much more relaxing and immersive experience. The grand architecture and stunning exhibits make it a must-visit for art and history lovers. One of the highlights of our visit was the museum’s restaurant, where we enjoyed a very nice lunch at a surprisingly reasonable price. The ambiance was elegant, and the quality of the food was excellent. Overall, it was a fantastic experience—great art, a peaceful atmosphere, and a delicious meal all in one place.

The Imperial Apartments (Sisi Museum) is well worth a visit and the free Audio tour is highly recommended as it gives you much needed information behind the exhibits and other background information.

I was so excited to go see this museum, but after I was a little bit disappointed. I expected to see a few of the ballgowns she used to wear, but only normal ones. It was almost sad and amazing to learn about her life. I have got a new sort of respect for this women.

We used this tour on our first day in Vienna to get some information about and orientation to Vienna, Austria, and their history. Our teenagers especially enjoyed the ride and virtual reality parts of the show. Parts of the experience were a little cheesy, but overall we enjoyed it and felt that we learned a good amount.

We also purchased the add-on for "Sisi's Amazing Journey", but didn't feel that separate experience was really worth the added time and expense that it required.

The museum makes a huge effort to be immersive and offers some fun activities, like the piano shaped staircase, the waltz dice game and the chance to simulate conducting the Wiener Philarmoniker on the top floor. I had a nice hour and a half overall, but I can't say to have learnt anything new, except for a few juicy trivia about composers (like the fact that Beethoven loved pasta!). Maybe someone who didn't have a musical education like me might get more out of it. In my opinion it's a cool museum, but by no means a must in Vienna.

We were delighted to learn that The Third Man Museum offered private, individual tours when they were not officially open. For less than the ticket for a good concert, we had the most interesting tour that was rich in history, little known or fogotten politics, the film industry, the history and story behind the Third Man and even more. For those who remember that era, the Museum evokes long forgotten memories. For those who've only read about the times, there is no better way to experience the essence of an earlier time.

Time spent here with Gerhard was filled with wonderful stories of the film and of Vienna just after World WarII. If you can, try the private tour; it will leave a lasting impression.

A wealth of documents but a bit lacking in compelling story telling and human interest angles. Would have helped to simply summarize Freud’s major theories in plain language on some wall boards, in addition to all the letters, books, etc.
The home movies taken by his daughter were wonderful, and very relatable.

A highlight was the very interesting ideas of new materials and ways to adapt to life’s future challenges in the design lab. The only thing was that it wasn’t advertised very well as something to see in the gallery.

This adventure was amazing! Characters look like they will wink in the next moment, really :) We had a lot of fun, because the place is interactive, you can use many accesories (coat, hat, wig,..) and take a pic with your idol.
    I really recommend.
There is only one but...on the website they declare a storage for your luggage but there is none and you have to take your suitcase with you all the time. Be careful.

The museum was…lacking. But the make-your-own chocolate bar more than made up for it. It was a great class that was quite educational. Selma did an awesome job of working with us and teaching us the history of chocolate along with its different processing stages.
Daughter and I are celiac and they did a good job of making sure our experience was a great one

Worth it for three reasons: the memorial, the museum and the square itself, which is realy beautiful! I was lucky enough to be there at the same time as a guided tour (the tour was in a language I am slightly familiar with) and I was able to learn a little bit more about the memorial.

Lots of fun to be had here, some great little puzzles, interactive art, lots of Instagram photo opportunities, and the staff are more than happy to take photos for you! I've been to several of these museums across Europe, and the only reason I'm giving it a 4/5 is because this is by far the smallest one. It's still great, but you can be through the whole thing in 15 minutes. I still highly recommend it, especially if you haven't been to one before 😊

The Hofburg is the official residence and workplace of the President of Austria and was formerly the principal imperial palace of the Habsburg dynasty. Located in the center of Vienna. This new part houses a museam and was built 100 so years ago. There is a museam on it but was closed due to covid but is nice to see from outside as well.

Every 1st Sunday of the month, many of Viennas attractions offer a free entry - so on this occasion it cost us nothing to get in.
The house/museum is about 15mins walk from Heidlingplatz Bhf - up a bit of a hill!
That this was Beethovens country retreat is incredible! The surrounding area away from the main road might be much as it was when he came there. To sit in his garden listening to his music is both lovely and poignant. To read his Heilingenstadt Testament written to his brothers expresses his mounting exasperations with his ailments but particularly his deafness.
