Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Wonderful museum, grand staircase, statues and paintings galore, photography allowed, lovely cafe in the middle which although busy, moved through the queue quite quickly. Could easily spend most of the day here.

Nicely laid out museum across multiple floors. Well signposted and has lifts for accessiblity. Good amount of paintings and sculptures, with photography allowed (no flash). Some weird exhibits, mix of modern art and medieval paintings/sculptures in 2 separate buildings.

The Cathedral has been through many reconstructions. Dating back to 1147 when the first church went up, the Cathedral has shown a lot of resilience. St. Stephen's Cathedral is in the heart of the inner city and is 107 meters long. The tallest of its four towers is at 136 meters. The tower room, has beautiful views of Vienna. That original 12th-century church is no more, the main entrance door, is a great incarnation of its origins from the 13th century. The roof of St. Stephen's Cathedral is constructed with ornately patterned, richly coloured, glazed tiles. (230,000 tiles) Sadly, Stephansdom survived the aerial bombings of WWII only for a fire in nearby buildings to spread to the cathedral in April 1945, destroying parts of the building. Joseph Haydn and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart are just two of the important figures to have been married here.

Great value for the entry price. Five different exhibits. Picasso and Monet originals. The building itself is beautiful and historic.

State Hall is the kind of place you need to see for yourself to understand how truly magical it is. Words and photos are not enough to capture the exquisite detail of this gorgeous library. It didn't take very long to look around the library, however the Yoichi Okamoto exhibit extended our visit and provided interesting insight into the post-war history of Europe and the US. Overall, State Hall is well worth a visit and easily the most stunning library I've ever visited.

We saw Eugene Onegin and it was INCREDIBLE! Highlight of our trip to Vienna without a question. I love how we had little monitors in front of us to translate the latin into our language. It made the opera so much more interesting because we knew what was happening. The cast was so incredibly talented and we had great seats (balcony, middle). It was definitely worth the price we paid for tickets. I would highly recommend going here. Beautiful evening.

There are a handful of charming Baroque churches scattered around Innere Stadt including Peterskirche (St. Peter's Church) just off Grabenstraße. The church history dates back to the Middle Ages but the building you see today is from the early 18th-century and is fashioned after the Vatican's St. Peter's Basilica but at a significantly smaller scale.

The curved facade with towers is impressive, as is its bronze dome. Within you find a round nave, again similar to Baroque era churches you might have seen in Rome. The interior features delightful altars, ornate marble walls and inner cupola fresco that is worth spending some time to view and enjoy. Take a seat and just enjoy the beauty within Peterskirche before continuing onward with other intended sightseeing in this area of Vienna.

They have an amazing collection, not only from the crown jewellery, but also valuable objects that added value to their collection, such as, a fragment of the crux, spere of destiny, swords and cloaks from the crown knights.
It is amazing to watch and you can not spend enough time, everywhere you look is something amazing to meet the eye.

This museum is absolutely brilliant, it's so informative of not just the film but about Vienna too. No matter how many times you've seen the film here just adds more context to it, especially when you walk around Vienna and just randomly spot the doorway to Harry Limes apartment building. It might only be open on a Saturday but it's definitely worth a visit, the owner and the staff do an amazing job of looking after personal letters, signed photos and zithers

My partner and myself went to see a theatre performance in Halle E inside the Museumsquartier of Vienna (June 2023). On the whole, this is a quite amazing place with colourful seats, spread all around, inside, on the square, to sit abd watch the world going by. It is simply amazing as well as heart-warming how LGBTQIA+ friendly Vienna has become nowadays, a great move forward indeed. Go go go to Vienna🌈🌈🌈

This museum combines both exhibits on Sisi and the Imperial Apartments in the Hofburg. It’s a one way journey through the museum with the audio guide leading you through each room. Unfortunately, the museum did get crowded. This was especially the case in the Sisi portion as the rooms were not as big, but many people were standing around listening to the somewhat lengthy audio guide. Going early would be a good idea to avoid some of the crowds.

We purchased the Sisi Ticket online that gave us access to this museum and the Schonbrunn Palace. This saved us considerable time as the queue for tickets was quite long and the Sisi Ticket does not require arriving at a specific time giving us more flexibility. Note that the entrance and exit to the museum is in different places, though not too far away. At the exit to the museum was a gift shop that sold similar items to the shops at the Schonbrunn. Photography is prohibited in the museum.
