I've been to this park so many times, I know it well. It is always packed full of people in the summer, so I prefer to go in the spring or autumn when its still warm but there's less people around. In the summer you can buy ice-creams at a couple of different places. Christchurch Mansion is in the park, which is always worth a visit. There are lots of squirrels in the park which are sometimes tame enough to feed peanuts to, if you're lucky. It's generally a clean park that's free from litter, it's only in the really busy times where you find that teenagers have chucked energy drink cans around, etc. You rarely see any dog poop left on the path, which is good considering there are a lot of dog walkers. I would say it's a good place for exercising, e.g. jogging or walking, because there is a range of terrain including a couple of steep hills to get your heart rate going. There are tennis courts round the back of the park, and a small garden/pond area which is always nice to wander through. The climbing frames and play areas are ideal for parents with young kids, but I don't think there's much for older kids e.g. 9 or 10 y/o.

What a wonderful space for Ipswich (and visitors too) to enjoy ! - Only been a couple of times, but discover something new each time. And did not realise quite how big it is..... expansive. The kids play equipment is second to none. Only negative point is that the cafe and the kiosk were both closed last Sunday (possibly covid-19 staffing issues !) - other than that it would be a 5 star rating. Fully recommended

Very picturesque, and a peaceful place to go. It is usually clean with hardly any litter, and people seem to use the bins which is nice. I wish there were more toilets, sometimes when you are at the wrong end of the park, it is a real pain in the butt to go all the way to the other end just to use them. I like that there are ducks and moorhens and woodpeckers in the park, it is clearly a safe haven for local nature and that is nice to see. Dog walkers are a mixed bag here. Many don't keep their dog on the lead, which has caused me problems in the past - once, a dog even ran up to me and s tole my entire pizza which I had just carried for 45 minutes from the nearest pizza takeaway....!!! So just beware if you're having a picnic, that most dogs are not on leads here

We paid a visit on bank holiday Monday having not been before. Having seen the tv programme and looking forward to seeing the farm animals and local produce, my expectation wasn’t quite in line with reality.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s a nice park with plenty of animals and things to keep kids occupied for a whole day, which is great. I feel that it’s morphed from a simple farm to more of a zoo park now, it’s high personally was a little disappointing. I’d have liked to have seen more of the pigs and cows that create the produce. I’d also like to see more of a direct li k from field to fork.

Having said that, we had a great day. It’s clean and fresh, staff are friendly and exhibits are good. The downside for us was that the queue for an icecream was over half an hour with only two staff in there. That should have been expected and staffed on a bank holiday better. Lack of local farm produce in the shop, for me anyway. Also, with someone in a mobility scooter, the oaths were deep with gravel in places meaning we got stuck and had to drag and dig out. Others fell into the traps with scooters and pushchairs. Sadly not as disabled friendly as it could be.

Yes I’m picking but it’s a balanced review, still a great day out and would recommend.

Suffolk show is a brilliant agricultural show for family, friends and couples. We tend not to go every year as sometimes it is the same thing. They have something for everyone from farm animal interactions, displays in the arena, equestrian competitions and sports activities.
It is a really good day to spend with your other half or family. They have amazing stalls where you can buy anything from clothes to hot tubs! Very easy to spend money that you currently do not have! They also have a wide range of food stalls and vans to choose from, you will have a hard time choosing what you want.
I would highly recommend buying a ticket and going as it is an amazing day out!

Bourne park is a park in Ipswich near the waterfront. This park is great, massive grass area and woodland. Also a small water pool for young kids.

me and my family went here for a walk and it was amazing. It was very quiet with barely any people and is also the perfect place to walk your dog.

I attended a weekend conference and fundraiser at Wherstead Park. The staff were all brillant and went the extra mile for us. We were there for 3 full days including a gala dinner and other evening events and the staff had the same friendly, happy, can do attitude from start to finish. Jonathan and his whole team were amazing.

I wouldn't call this a picnic site as after we parked the car, spaces for about 20 cars. A short walk to the river we discovered one picnic bench and three benches. Luckily we had a blanket, the grass area was a good size but the grass was too long and clumpy. It was a lovely day and nice views all around. Lots of dog walkers and sadly lots of dog poo. The tide was out so we had a walk on the beach, sadly there was broken glass everywhere, don't walk in bare feet and watch out for your dogs.

Local park with areas of grass and trees. There is a two football goals and a play ground. Good if you live nearby and for me who cycled there.

Easy to access from A14. Staff very good and helpful. I added days to stay and they made sure I could stay in same room. Felt very safe where covid was concerned. Brewers fayre restaurant right next door- good plus staff very good Other restaurants not far away. Covid precautions very good. Good place to stay if wanting to visit Woodbridge and Aldeburgh. It is a trip of 30 mins to Woodbridge but easier than expected to get onto A14.
Only downside is traffic on road behind hotel does tend to wake one up 7am onwards.
Beds very comfortable .Hairdrier in room but no iron
Stayed 5 nights in the end as enjoying Suffolk so much

A nice park with a skatepark and football pitch. There is lots to do and this place is easy to get to. There is parking around it and it is a great picnic spot.
