One of the most memorable local museums I have visited. Enough has been retained of the original Victorian mansion, particularly the dining room, now an excellent café, and the bathroom, dressing room (with a fashion display) and bedroom. The paintings on the walls are well chosen; the pair in the bedroom were amusing: "Courtship" and "Matrimony".
Some rooms are devoted to local history; often, to visitors from elsewhere (such as me) this can be impenetrable, but the explanations assumed limited local knowledge. Particularly interesting was the account of the 1919 Peace Day riot, during which the Town Hall was largely destroyed. The military section was picturesque and informative.
The Garden is charming, and the walk from/to the station is delightful and well signposted.

    Enjoyable for little ones.

Must give credit where it’s due. We visited in March, and left a little disappointed due to most of the rides and golf course being closed.

I left some feedback and the management sent us some tickets to use for another day which was really appreciated.

We visited again on 1st April and really enjoyed ourselves. There was an Easter egg trail, rides, mini golf and an indoor soft play.

The only feedback I would give is the indoor cafe could do with a bit of an update, there aren’t enough seats or tables for everyone that visits, and the food is quite disappointing but, you can bring along your own to enjoy if you want.
It would be good if there was another food truck in the outside area in summer as another option.

It’s a great little place for littles ones and a nice family day out all in all!

The casino has a wide variety of games to choose from, including slots, roulette, blackjack, and poker. I am a big fan of slots, and I was impressed with the selection of machines available. I also tried my hand at roulette, and the dealer was very helpful in explaining the game to me.

I didn't win any money on my visit, but I still had a lot of fun. The casino has a great atmosphere, and it is a great place to go for a night out with friends.

Stockwood Park is on the outskirts of Luton. It is on London Road and not far from the junction with the A505 and M1. It is also well signposted in the area so quite easy to find.

There is free parking and there are plenty of things going on. There is the rugby club and golf club. The Discovery Centre is well worth checking out, there are nice gardens and also the Mossman Collection. There is also a cafe and gift shop here.

There are plenty of paths to follow and huge green spaces you can enjoy. I would definitely recommend taking your dog if they enjoy a run around.

We've been meaning to check out this scenic walk for a while and so glad to finally done it! Beautiful, far reaching scenery at the top, it is a pleasure to sit awhile and take it all in! A pretty steep climb, but worth taking the time to slowly get to the top. A very pleasant one hour circular stroll. Minimal parking near the Barton Le Clay church, but we were lucky enough to get a spot. Alternatively parking near the Park is possible.

It’s quite an experience to squeeze through the tiny turnstiles situated between two houses. The walk in then takes you over the gardens of those who live nearby.

There isn’t any parking nearby so we stayed overnight at the premier inn (town centre) which was a twenty minute walk away.

The stadium is run down, the seats close together and the toilets are literally like an old outhouse / shed.

That being said the atmosphere was good and in the ladies loos they had complimentary period products should you need them.

We weren’t allowed inflatables in despite it being inflatables day. These were confiscated at the entrance.

The stewards were friendly and staff helpful.

A fascinating visit on a beautiful day. The work, by volunteers, that has been going on to restore and replenish this huge octagonal walled garden is so impressive. The guided walk (over an hour) by a very well informed volunteer was very interesting on the history of the garden (as part of the Luton Hoo estate) and its restoration from an overgrown wilderness.

This project deserves all the support it can get.

Note that it is only open on Wednesdays between May and September. Check the website, first. And there's a very good Woodland Cafe, nearby.

St Mary's Church is in Luton Town Centre close to the Arndale Centre. It is also next to the University which seems to dwarf the church. It is a real shame that this classic building has been surrounded by newer (now dated) buildings and seems very out of place in the area.

That said it has an unusual design with a mixture of white stone with black rock giving it a chequered look which is not something I have seen before and I like.

They have services on Sunday and are open for silent prayer on Wednesday.

As a Lutonian I know this park very well. As previously written it has lots going for it. Now it has crazy golf which is open weekend and school holidays, I believe you have to book on line but worth it as it looks well maintained and lots of fun. Also during the same times boats are now available to hire for the half a hour or longer maybe. A new children's small nature area with information on the new trees which have been planted has opened by the museum car park I found interesting to read about.
