What travellers are saying
- lynn mUnited Kingdom4 contributionsWe had a wonderful festive time at the Victorian Christmas event. Everyone was so welcoming and friendly. Our son was dressed as Santa and he got to meet the Victorian Santa in his beautiful green outfit. There was lots to do like making Christmas crafts , the robin trail etc. I absolutely loved the Christmas carols that we sang. It took me back to the days where you could go round doors and sing carols. And to top it off we won lots of things at the tombola and enjoyed a nice hot chocolate!
We are already planning our trip back in Easter and bringing my mother in law with us.

The children enjoyed skimming stones on the water too. The paths are well laid out and easy enough to walk around.Written 4 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Hannah MWinsford, UK125 contributionsPretty attractive garden. Very worth visiting even in a rainy wet day. Very narrow roads and parking is a short walk away. Beautiful garden.Written 27 July 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- EESW1Lincolnshire, UK4,707 contributionsTo be honest, there isn't a lot left of the C11th castle apart from a few ruins around the flagpole. But it is worth the climb for the views across Dunoon.Written 29 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Scottish-Hidden-Gems🏴💎Ayrshire, UK6,900 contributionsMary Campbell was born in Dunoon and became famous because of Robert burns poetry.
While she was working in Ayrshire, she met Robert burns where they handfasted and planned to emigrate to Jamaica, but sadly mary died at the age of 23.
The statue was placed here 100 years after her death.Written 13 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It's a great photo opportunity if you can get down to it, that is..., the stairs are out of use due to overgrown grass, and the rails are broken, so you have to climb down the steep slope over the rocks, which can be slippery.
There are several of these painted rocks to find around Argyll and Bute, Arran and Cumbrae.Written 8 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Depending on the days there was flume, big floats sessions etc . Some of these were only for 8 years old plus.
The changing rooms and kids pools were as you would expect but they kids pool had a wee slide which was great for the little ones.Written 29 December 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
