Very nice experience. Thoroughly enjoyed all parts of the caves and the tour guide was very good and friendly in explaining the rich history of the caves. The souvenir shop was also full of beautiful stones and other artefacts.

We came on 26th Feb for Northern soul at the proms(superb show) but I want to talk about the staff.
We was showed to our seats in the Dress circle which I'd picked an end seat (on seating plan no seat in front) anyway I'm 6ft 8 and recently had a new knee replacement and couldn't fit in seat. The lady usher said unfortunately it's a sell out but we'll see what we can do. Waited 10 minutes and boy did they help. Another lady came over and said my you are tall please follow me. We was taken to the managers personal box overlooking the stage. I was so relieved because I would have left and missed the show. All the staff where superb and really really helpful( especially the lady with glasses and short grey hair) thankyou for making my night such a great all round good night and great day in Buxton 👌

Beautiful views are worth the relatively short walk with young children. Map (provided) offers different exploring options to keep kids entertained. We opted for shortest walk, being 25 minutes. Some steep stairs but 3 and 5 year old able to navigate easily.
This is a great, free activity and so close to town. Definitely recommend.

We visited during a weekend stop over. The grounds and building are beautiful. It boasts a gift shop, coffee shop and conservatory where you can enter free of charge.

So much to see here. We went as a group of three friends and had a lovely time. It's great to see so much creativity in one town The cafe is lovely and delicious coffee too.

I visited the place today while it was almost empty. The people at reception were polite and let me in. The building is apparently now a university building.
The dome is large and high and today there was nothing going on so the space under the Dome was empty.

The biggest building has a few shops. I only went to 1 and it was decent. The visitor centre is good and it has a drinking fountain like St Ann's Well so you can skip the queue like me.

This little church is a real hidden gem, would not have found it if we had not done the bus tour from the pavilion gardens.. beautiful & interesting church…attractive beams & facts from the past…

This Well is perfect when your thirsty (clearly) but the famous water is very good and warm. People overdo it by bringing massive tanks and fill them up up can take a while when you just want a measly sip of water.

The spa is fantastic, very clean and well kept..we went every day.

The restaurant food/bar is lovely, tasty and good service...disappointingly reception never mentioned the ny dinner

The room was as described and very comfortable...slept in until 9 which is unheard of..

Reception needs work in terms of staff levels...we arrived at 5pm and no one around to help with bags, never saw a concierge once...at midnight on ny the one receptionist doubled as a bartender...a warm welcome would definitely make a difference..as would a working fire in the lobby...between xmas/ny when raining is the perfect time to have one!

Would definitely return as overall a 9/10

The shopping area itself seemed to be mainly concentrated on the ground floor with several independent small shops. Some interesting wares to be honest. The tiled decor reminded you of its past history, and the very colourful ceiling is great !
