Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really great room and helpful, fun, engaging staff. The team loved it AND we escaped - which always helps boost that sense of achievement and morale!

Lovely shop & typical of a good emporium. When you go in you don’t know where to look first as so many interesting things to see, I went in for Frenchic furniture chalk paint. The sales lady gave me lots of tips & advice on how best to paint my wooden furniture. I’ve finished my project now & it looks great. Staff very friendly & helpful.

Came with a friend and nephew. Thought I would be bored but actually got into it. Not laughed so much in ages watching the golf experts. Kids were better than me.

Really enjoyed coming here. The staff are really friendly and very attentive. Beers are nice and cheap which is always a plus and there's always live sport on the big screen. We came and played darts for a few hours while watching sport. Highly recommend giving Q academy a try.

Visited the pool with my daughter & her children for the first time since she learned to swim there. Must be all of 30 years ago.

Very impressed with the new layout which incorporates a fitness/gym as well as a toddlers pool. Really does provide something for all the family. The toddlers pool is well equipped with loads of suitable toys for youngsters.

Good presence of lifeguards throughout the pool area (3 were in attendance during our visit) and full marks to the young man who, just as we had decided to leave the pool with our toddler, asked us how long we had been in as they advise no longer than 30 minutes. Extremely tactful enquiry and impressive to be treated so courteously.

Gives confidence that the facility is well run and in capable hands.

Only negative was the changing/locker area which was pretty cramped.

A lovely quaint Free House with guest ales & ciders. The function room or ‘Disco Shed’ at the back has regular events which include: Monday nights every two weeks: Jazz @ The Cannon. Tue: Quiz night. Thur:The Sunset Lounge, Open mic Night. Sat:Meat Raffle and 1st Sun every Month -'That Time Of The Month' comedy night Plus other events such as the annual beer festival. Really lovely and friendly people and a big TV for the sport. Out the back is a smoking area and tables for groups of people to enjoy the sun. A wonderful little pub.

If you aren't a big drinker, don't let the title put you off.
Although Beer isn't something I'm particularly interested in, the Battlefields are. My husband is the Beer drinker so I was happy for him to enjoy the samples whilst I perused the other items on offer. Many Breweries produce by-products such as Chocolates and cheese...far more up my street!
The big plus for this tour is the fantastic organisers. Everyone is provided with a brochure containing information on the sites we would be visiting. These are to complement the commentary given whilst walking around the sites. Even though we've visited some of the battlefield sites and Cemeteries before, Tony, (our tour guide) came up with new and interesting facts we hadn't heard before, whilst his wife Allison makes sure everyone is catered for. No need to worry about finding somewhere to eat or drink as teas, coffees, snacks and sandwich lunches are all provided on this tour. Plus a shot of Whicky or Brandy for anyone needing a quick pick-me-up.
Allison even makes sure she has 'toilet change' for their guests. Greatly appreciated when you haven't got a 50cent coin for the facilities at Tyne Cot.
If you're looking for knowledgable guides and good organisation, with a friendly atmosphere, look no further. This is our fourth trip with them and they never fail to make us excited to look for our next tour with them.
