Off the beaten track but well worth a visit, really enjoyed the visit, nice friendly staff and good guides , shop is worth a visit, kids enjoyed it, great view from the top.
My family of five very much enjoyed learning the history of this castle built in the late 1300s for the Duke of Albany and walking through the places where this "uncrowned king" lived.

Entering the hide which was spacious but busy with serious birdwatchers with cameras on tripods with huge lenses and families as entranced by the birds as we were.
Good to hear many myths about them dispelled by sheep farmers who are not at all concerned that the birds might take their lambs, or children!
