A stunning well preserved historic site. It’s deceptive from the outside does look very interesting. However, it was an amazing experience walking through the old tunnels underneath the fort and experiencing what it might be like being stuck down there in a nuclear war.

Even though I’m not a huge fan of military history, I found this place fascinating and the volunteers were so informative and helpful. It was a great day out for adults as well as children.

Check out our visual video review on Youtube by searching ABBOTSBURY SWANNERY Tripadvisor Review or check our channel at FoodTravelMusicLove.com.

    LOCATION AND ACCESS
The drive is beautiful and Abbotsbury is a lovely village with tea rooms and lovely old pubs
The walk is around 400 metres from the entrance to the swannery itself but you can drive down if you have mobility issues. Its then very flat and disabled friendly throughout

    FACILITIES AND SERVICES
Small gift shop, a few interactive areas and random shipping and war artefacts plus toilet facilities at the entrance area only, although there are disabled toilets half way to the swannery
A children’s park is a nice touch to keep them occupied as is a small cinema style room where they tell you about it all

    FOOD AND DRINK
A small well priced cafe and the gift shop with fudge and jams etc is on offer

    OFFICIAL FOODTRAVELMUSICLOVE.COM RATING

In our professional opinion the swannery is a unique attraction and a nice option for all age ranges interested in the beauty of swans

Our official rating is 8/10, equal to a Tripadvisor rating of 4 stars.

Excellent example of an all ages attraction

Such a fabulous experience, out on the land. Thought I knew a lot about the countryside but I was wrong.
Gary opened our knowledge and shared so much fascinating information. He and Carol need to be proud of what they have achieved!

Amazing day out with the family!! We had 3 little kids with us and they loved every second, the staff were friendly and enthusiastic. Bella at Rockpool did a fabulous job at handling the kids and making it enjoyable for them, even gave all of us stickers!! The food was amazing and i would definitely recommend it to anyone with little kids, we all loved the animal feeds as well, can tell the staff take great care at what they do!! Only thing i can say is that it is a tad expensive but apart from that everything was spot on! Best Sea Life i’ve ever been too!!

Well worth visiting if in the area. Seeing the pebble bank is quite amazing. Just unlike anywhere else and it was very peaceful compared to Weymouth.

We ended up here after an appalling start at Park Deans Sandwell - my first bit of advice would be to avoid Sandwell and chose here or another site in this area.

We checked in on the second day of our holiday, after a traumatic experience st Sandwell and the staff at Warmwell were so lovely and understanding. They allocated us a Lanehouse 2 bed lodge which was lovely, although it could have been a bit cleaner.

The site itself is lovely and clean and the facilities and entertainment for our 2 year old were great. The staff at reception were always smiling and happy to help, not only us but we saw this with lots of people, even some experiencing problems. The entertainment team were great and the staff at the onsite bar and restaurant were fantastic. Very friendly and really helpful.

The food at the club house was really good, especially the breakfast - it was delicious!

We will be returning to this site next year but will be avoiding Sandwell for ever.

Thank you to those at Warmwell who made our holiday so special!

Amazing view! Well kept garden . Just a wee bit dissapointed that I cant go in the Castle ruin currently . I guess for the safety of people . Lovely walk to the beach from the Castle.
