- LablynnRayleigh, UK142 contributionsThis place was recommended by a local from Brixham from which we were staying.
I asked for somewhere which I could take dogs and children.
We found it easier enough there is 3 car parks to use
The photos on this site are accurate the boating lake, the beaches.
I especially liked the dog friendly beach which we could sit with the grandchildren whilst they played on the sand, I found it clean and tidy.
We used the boating lake and the playground, we didn’t buy food but did have coffee/ drinks.
Definitely recommend for dogs and children as sometimes it’s a struggle to find somewhere especially dogs on beaches in the summer

The staff were all friendly and helpful, my friend is disabled and we were given seats at the front. The band entertainment was great with audience joining in. We had ordered a taxi and show finished a little early everyone left. As it was cold outside the staff happily waited to lock up until our taxi arrived, one young girl waited with us to make sure we could get back to our hotel. The evening was a great start to our weekend stay in Paignton.

- BargeegirlWest Sussex, UK692 contributionsDidn't have the best of days weather wise here, but made the most of our visit. Inside the castle, the volunteers are in full costume and want to talk to you. Not a huge castle, but a pleasant few hours out. The small garden is quaint. Not the most pleasant road to get there and parking is across the road in the restaurant car park. Worth a visit if you are in the area.Written 22 October 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- acs1984Cockermouth, UK1,669 contributionsWe came to the waterpark in the afternoon. We had already booked tickets online but there was no queue to get in anyway. We parked in the large carpark behind which was about a 5 minute walk away. Prices for parking were quite expensive although this was a council carpark, so not the waterparks fault. When we got inside the waterpark we headed straight for the changing rooms. They were quite clean and we saw staff sweeping and moping the floor regularly. Unfortunately it was really busy when we came to the park so there was no sun loungers left at all. We managed to find a small space to sit on the grass. We primarily came to use the new children's splash park. This area wasn't that busy but the queues for the 'adult' slides were terrible, really long. There was possibly too many people in the park I think. The new splash park area was excellent and well suited for our 5 year old. Adults could go on the splash park slides aswell although dependent on lifeguard, you could either slide together or had to go down separately. There was no consistency, each member of staff seemed to have a different set of rules. We had a fun afternoon.Written 7 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- ryan7794United Kingdom16 contributionsThis picturesque location boasts mesmerizing blue-green waters reminiscent of a tropical paradise. While it features a stony beach, beach shoes are highly recommended for a comfortable experience. It serves as an ideal destination for swimming, dog walking, barbecues, and various water-based activities. Personally, I consider it to be the most captivating spot in the region.Written 14 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - n b3 contributionsBeautiful quiet sandy beach very near to where we were staying. Ice-cream shop on the beach a bit dear but well worth it as the ice-creams were huge!Written 29 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - EL29 contributionsNice Beach and play area , the pier is fine if your into the arcades. What let's this place down is the ridiculous prices for parking £4.90 for just over two and half hours.Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
