Was down visiting family in Dunbar and as a wee celebration for cousin’s 60th we took in the Belhaven Brewery Tour.

Chris our tour guide was very knowledgeable on the history of the brewery and also the brewing process and all the types of beer. He also made it entertaining with his humour .

The tasting samples were enjoyable and Chris was spot on at describing the flavours and what the beers would go well with. The 1.5 hour went by really fast and we were lucky to have a good group.

    Would recommend .

This place is brilliant! Owner was lovely. Such a chilled walk round the beach and woods. Got to meet the donkeys too! Looking forward to my next visit!

Victoria Harbour is overlooked by the ruins of Dunbar Castle . There are amazing views of Bass rock and on a clear day you can see the East Neuk of Fife.
The harbour has a colourful history which is mapped out in stones leading to the Battery.
One such story is about the Countess called Black Agnes. Agnes is said to have defended the harbour against English invasion with only her servants to help her. There is a restaurant with her namesake on the High Street selling good traditional food, which I highly recommend.
Recently, the harbour was battered by storm Babet, with powerful waves crashing against the harbour walls and leaping ferociously in the air. The scene was dangerous but somehow very beautiful.
The town is only 10 minutes walk away where you can find coffee shops, fish and chip shops and various restaurants.
The Creel restaurant is a 2 minute walk and worth paying a little extra for. Plus there are vans situated around the harbour selling teas, coffee, fresh fish and other food such as toasties and crepes.
The leisure centre is situated on a small hill overlooking the harbour and the swimming pool has a view to the sea. Children love the flumes and wave machine and there are small slides and equipment to keep the toddlers amused.
Outside are strategically positioned benches at the top of the hill to capture the wonderful views.
The carpark is free and Campervans and Motorhomes can park overnight and also around the harbour but there might be a small charge for that.
Toilet and shower facilities are available in the leisure centre until closing time and the cafe is open to the public.
It’s a beautiful old harbour, well worth a visit.

As a family East Links has always been a favourite of ours. The staff are brilliant, so impressed with the Christmas activities, kids got gifts too, everyone has worked so hard to make it special, well done.

Something about this place just made me feel all warm and fuzzy. The tour was illuminating, in a mostly green sort of a fashion.

Great for families and plenty to keep age groups engaged. Pool was very busy but still lots of room to swim or muck about

Recommended to visit by a local, lovely easy access beach with views of the surrounding coast line. The beach is good for a walk to ‘blow away the cobwebs’, especially in March!

Would be a nice beach on a sunny day. No cafe/ shop so bring your own.

Parking is free and easy. Toilets free.

A lovely walled garden, suitable for young children with playground and lots of grassy areas to run around. Meals and drinks can also be purchased at the cafe in the garden. Lovely place to meet up for coffee/tea after a walk around the harbours and sea walls.

Lovely sculpture by same artist as The Kelpies. Not quite as magnificent as they are but well worth a visit.

My wife and I visited the Dunbar Town House - We'd 17 May22. Nicely located in the high street so you can't miss it
A hidden gem of Dunbar History and information and it's also a Picture/Painting Gallery.

The very helpful staff were very warm and friendly, especially 'Mhairi' (Celtic name) who actually offered us a guided tour of the upstairs Civic Offices & old Gaol.

Our tour guide was a volunteer named Pauline.
Pauline has an excellent knowledge of the Dunbar Civic Offices history and Town House.
The tour also included a visit to the old Gaol and to the bottom of the bell tower

We enjoyed the tour very much as Pauline was always happy to answer questions.
A lovely cozy building and very worth while a visit rain or shine. It's Free admission, but they do appreciate donations in the box in the entrance hall.

We totally recommend the Dunbar Town House.
Thanks once again to all the staff & volunteers for making our afternoon in Dunbar a very good experience.
Kind Regards, Dave & Kaz, Shropshire
