We enjoyed our visit and lunch so much we returned the next day and enjoyed even more. All food freshly prepared and delicious. Well worth a visit.

I have no idea how anyone can give anything less than 5 stars for this incredible little hidden gem. There’s a very small entry fee and unless you want to swim there is very little to do.
That being said, you’re paying to view a beautify little piece of history and if you wanted to you can swim in a very rare UK tidal pool.
The views are out of this world and the history behind it is is fascinating.
It’s easily one of the coolest spots I’ve ever visited in the UK.

Mini break with family & friends to celebrate 2024. Beach walks, pub meals and shopping in Ilfracombe harbour.
Can't speak highly enough of Debbie and the staff who were always warm & friendly. we were upgraded to one of the wooden lodges at no extra cost which was immaculate throughout, all amenities and good WiFi.
Definitely looking forward to a summer break at Watermouth lodges.

This is a fabulous place to learn about various different histories both local and far afield. it has lots of interesting natural specimens & fossills to look at as well as nostaglic technology including ceremonial objects from places like asia, south america and even africa. Opened since Mervyn Palmer their founder opened the museum in 1932.

Excellent tour of a fine old house. Tour guide Fiona was very knowledgeable and obviously had great affection for the Manor, its history, its furniture, its artefacts, and its "residents."
Terrible shame that this fascinating national treasure will soon be acquired by private interest and no longer accessible to the people.

What a beautiful spot! Fantastic walks along the cliffs, a working harbour with a lovely Sandy beach and shallow water for kids to play when the tide is in, or walk amongst the sailing yachts when it’s out, and there’s a new water sports centre where you can try out kayaking etc. or just enjoy a coffee in the cafe. It’s an up and coming place, well worth a visit, and it has a lifeboat! Loved it. We will be back.

Small aquarium showing local species and with very friendly staff.

Doesn't take long to walk through but interesting enough and good on a rainy day.

First time visiting here whilst on holiday and we had a fab few hours. Walked along and saw Verity, enjoyed fish and chips, ice cream and a walk around the shops. Nice and clean place with minimal litter. We visited on a weekend so it was quite busy but not too busy. Toilets were fairly clean and had toilet roll but queues took a while. Some places charge for toilets so we were pleased to come across these ones. Visited a sweet shop on the way back to the car park that was very busy but reasonably priced
All in all we would definitely return here

Well worth the climb up the hill. Fantastic views all round. Lovely historic building - a place of worship and an interesting dwelling. Well- informed volunteer shared helpful information. Donations by lieu of entrance fee.

If you keep your expectations low, there will be a few things that exceed these and make for an enjoyable few hours. The sea lion talk was the highlight, very informative and we were happy to sit in the cold to experience this. Some of the animal exhibits were interesting but let’s not sugar coat it, this is a zoo with animals in enclosures offering varying degrees of space and environmental enrichment and some attractions will leave you feeling sad.
The cafe offered a poor selection of food, I was very much looking forward to a decent coffee with some homemade cake, but this is more panini made with cheap baguettes or chicken nugget and chips fayre….take a picnic. It is run down in some places and probably over priced for what it is but we did enjoy our few hours there and the setting in a valley is lovely and provided an excellent work out!

Spectacular views from the top. It is quite steep but worth the effort. Just take your time and there are benches at various points if you need a break.

Personally I think it’s hideous but you have to see it to give your option. I was impressed to see that the notice/ information board had a tactile version of parts of the statute that would probably be good for the visually impaired.
