Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After 5 failed attempts (due to weather) we eventually took off & boy oh boy was it worth the wait. We took off from within the grounds of the old Witton Castle & holiday park, the weather was one of those perfect early evening nights, still, warm, clear & so so peaceful. We headed off on on our journey at about 8pm, not knowing where we might land. Alex, our pilot who flew the balloon was great, really friendly, super informative & knowledgeable about all things ballooning & quite funny, he made the flight. After flying over ponds, lakes, fields, villages & seeing Durham Cathedral in the very very far distance it was time to land, we did so & the landing was perfect. One thing I should point out is the basket is divided in to four sections, each section has three people in them so it's a VERY tight squeeze in each of the individual sections, so be pre-pared to get to know your fellow passengers.

We had a lesson with Gareth to gain the basic skills of paddle boarding and then went back the following week for a practice session. Gareth is an excellent teacher and taugh is the basics to stay safe in the water. Its well worth a visit and the prices are very reasonable. Beautiful location and definately worth a try! We will be going again.

Me and the wife had a great time, with great service. There was 2 downfalls no choice of gins and the return journey should have been later, but we enjoyed it that much we did it again in August. We can't wait for next years as we will be doing all 3 Beer and Gin trains
