Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- CinqueCentoLondon, UK103 contributionsWe booked the Classic tour and were given an informative introduction to the history of the distillery and the whiskey making process from start to finish. Our guide made it very interesting with anecdotes and the hour tour just flew by. Loved it. - Simon A2 contributionsWe were the only two on the Pinnacle tour and Alison was our guide. We've been on a few tours and this was easily one of the best. Alison really made us feel very welcome and was very knowledgeable. The additional whisky tasting as part of the Pinnacle tour was exceptional and alone was well worth the additional cost. If you want a great tour at great value this is certainly one to consider

The ancient winding staircase up to the old nursery is very atmospheric. Plenty of information boards in each room so you get a feel for the history of the place. The café serves really tasty food and is not badly priced. Small gift shop with good quality wares, and beautiful well kept grounds.Written 28 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Grant KAlexandria, VA8 contributionsMy wife and I visited the distillery in mid-August and had a fantastic experience. Ballindalloch is a very small distillery that focuses on quality rather than on quantity. Our guide Andrew was extremely knowledgeable about Ballindalloch's operations and what makes them stand-out among other distilleries. Even my wife who does not typically enjoy whisky, loved our visit!Written 3 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
