Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- aa2walesCardiff, UK122 contributionsThe Baths museum was great. Good size for small kids not to get bored but plenty of information for the adults and very interesting.
Amazing piece of history preserved in a small Welsh town.Written 20 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Activities for children throughout the holidays for a small fee, my son took part in a Roman Soldier Boot camp and thoroughly enjoyed himself. Staff/actors very friendly and nurturing of younger children too to ensure they are all involved. We will definitely be visiting again in the future.Written 25 July 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - aa2walesCardiff, UK122 contributionsFree and a really nice way to show the kids some history and encourage some imaginative play!
Park for free in the Caerleon carpark next to the playgrounWritten 20 August 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Often your the only person there and the windswept hill top fort and it will blow you away. Ramparts still very easy to define and still difficult to climb/storm. Worth a visit for an hour or so even if just for the extensive view across the channel and north to the hillsWritten 28 August 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Truly recommend it as I've seen a few bands over the last few months and always guaranteed to have a very pleasant eveningWritten 7 January 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kerry W7 contributionsLovely atmosphere, good range of drinks, comfortable seating. There's a good range of food on the menu and specials board and very reasonably priced. We ordered a range of meals and everything was very good. Sirloin steak was excellent and loved that mushrooms and onion rings came with it as standard. A very enjoyable evening, can't wait to return.Written 13 March 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Vicky1 contributionWhat a wonderful shop I never knew existed. Will definitely be going back, so many crystals, rocks and hand made gifts. Have a look around, then have another look around, so many things to see. Thanks for the gift for my grandson.Written 1 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- CelticaNewport, UK334 contributionsThe pub of choice if you want to focus on the sport with likeminded people. Friendly crowd mainly locals but welcoming to travellers and often gets tourists or cyclists dropping by. If there's a big game on it will be on here for sure.Written 24 June 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
