Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

While visiting Bad Durkheim, my Sister-in-Law heard about this place, so we decided to check it out, and we are glad that we did! The entry fee is only 4.50 Euro, but the museum alone is worth that. The castle itself is full of lots of passageways with great views of the surrounding area! It's a must-see castle, while in the area!

I really love this Kurpark. The colours in the autumn are really great. It is quiet here, I find this place one of the very few places on earth where I can truly relax and enjoy it every time again. Have visited here since 15 years and I just keep on coming back again and again.

My wife and I had to experience this thing called the Graduation Tower. Check out Wikipedia to fully understand how this monstrosity works. For only 1,50 Euro, you can take a leisurely stroll enjoying salty, misty air. Make sure you breathe deeply to enjoy the full benefit of this salt sair. I am not sure about the science behind it, but what I can say is that it does work. I wish I had this closer to my home in Stuttgart as I wod come often. Families come with strollers and picnic here. I strongly suggest spending an hour or so taking this all in. You will feel better!

My wife and I trekked up here on Saturday of Mother's Day weekend. The abbey does not open up until noon, so we enjoyed a leisurely 500 foot walk up to the ruins. The ruins themselves are very impressive and need to be seen 360. However, there is also a full restaurant and bar. After the hike up, we did partake of two ice cold beers. If you have children, there is plenty of space to run around. I recommend spending a couple of hours here, maybe longer if you decide to dine. All in all, a great activity for everyone.

We booked a tour of the vineyard. The tour was in English. It was quite interesting. Unfortunately nothing really happens till they pick the grapes so none of the machinery was being used. We tasted a load of wines, this was done in order, unlike the shops. Towards the end we asked to taste the red wine. We thought that was the nicest! (I am sure they were slightly disappointed). Anyway you can buy after you try.
Would I do it again, not really sure as I didn't really learn anything. It's probably better after the harvest or when they are bottling rather than doing nothing.

Roemerplatz is a lovely little square in the heart of Bad Durkheim. As there are several restaurants and cafes with outside seating it is very busy but with very comfortable atmosphere.

The owner and his son give a great informational talk about their wine production and wine cellar. The tour of the winery is enjoyable, and the wine tasting delicious.

Get a walking map from Tourist Information or your hotel, park your car on Seebacher Straße near either access points to the turm and walk on the regular road, then the vineyard roads, amongst the hundreds of vines. The views are very nice from the vantage platform and when complete, follow the path and signage to the other end of Seebacher Straße - a nice hour walk.

My Sister-in-Law heard about this prior to our visit to Bad Durkheim, so we decided to check it out. The 4.50 Euro entry didn't deter us, in fact it was well worth it! The little museum is very interesting and the castle itself is full of lots of passageways with great views of the surrounding area! This is a must-see!
