Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

One of the stops at Jiuzhaigou National Park. Great to be able to walk about the waterfall area. Awesome place for photography.

We had wanted to see this ever since it appeared on a postcard many years ago. Finally got the chance as part of a China Travel group (20 people) tour covering Chengdu and all of Jiuzhaigou National Park.

This might have been the most arduous tour I've ever taken: bitterly cold the whole time, and a ton of walking everywhere. But the natural beauty is undeniable and Nuorilang was the highlight. Gosh, it's impressive, and China has done a fine job of preserving and protecting the whole area. Multilingual signboards also help.

So why only four stars? It's not the fault of the waterfalls but this was the middle of winter, soooo cold, and still overly crowded by people like me and hundreds of others. The guide observed that had we come in summer, we might not have been able to see much of what we did. The footpaths can be narrow, there's no escape and definitely no turning back. Nuorilang has good viewpoints and great photo ops. With it half frozen by ice, even better. And having seen both, it makes Niagara look like a bathtub tap. Go if you can, but do your homework first.

A rare experience to walj amoungst the rapids towards a majestic waterfall. You'll need to take it very slow due to the 3500m altitude, but slow is the best way for this experience!
