Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I am a volunteer at Lowewood Museum and really want more people to visit. The displays are mainly of local (Borough of Broxbourne) history, a facility supported by the Mayor of Broxbourne Council, who added a blue plaque to denote the heritage that the building represents. The museum is open every Friday and Saturday, and will also open on Wednesday during school holidays.

    NOTABLE EVENTS AT LOWEWOOD:
The opening of the Toys of Our Time Exhibition
14 August Model Railway Day IN COLLABORATION WITH HODDESDON MODEL AND RAILWAY CLUB.

The Gatehouse is only open at weekends not as stated on this website and only in the summer and autumn period. It opens from 11. 00am to 3.00pm. It is not open every weekend so you should check the Lea Valley website before your visit.

Came here with my friend, never been before. Car park really good size, spaces are also of a good size. Well lit for an evening departure. Bar area very pleasant, drinks prices acceptable. One toilet situated out in the foyer for the amount of female guests, I was quite shocked. Nice venue. Very clean and well kept, good staff presence.

My daughters (ages 6 and 4) and I had a great morning at Rye-assic. I found it really good value at £7 per child (no charge for adults) for a 2.5 hour play session.

There is plenty to do, with a large soft play area, lots of seating and a nice cafe with a varied menu. There is an outside play area with slides, seesaw and swings. There’s also trampolines, dinosaurs to discover and a covered sand pit.

There are lots of extra things to do: bowling, basketball hoop- shooting, ride on motor bikes, model boats and bikes to ‘drive’ but they all required £1 or £2 per play.

I found all the staff members very friendly and helpful, it wasn’t too busy either.

    We’ll definitely be returning.

This nature reserve in the depths of darkest Hertfordshire deserves to be better known. It is of national significance as it is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Though the local council provides a car park, it is basically a single track with the entrance being the same as the exit. We had to reverse out most of the way as a car had parked in the turning place at the bottom of the lane.

There is a good explanatory board just inside the clearing near the entrance from the car park, but there the information ends. With a six hectare site, there needs to be a few more directions. Also the boardwalks seem to have fallen apart in the last couple of years. They would be expensive to replace, so until then, take your boots, especially in the autumn and winter. And, as the website says, it is not suitable for buggies or wheelchairs, though very good for fungi in the autumn!

Took my 9 year old Grandson to see Scott May’s Daredevil Stunt show at Brean Leisure Park last night the Adult price was £12, children £6. I think maybe £8 & £3.50 would have been a fair reflection, quite expensive for a family of four as there were no facilities or amenities just a field and a dirt track. I thought it would be continuous action like you see on the TV bikes flying pass, loud noises, fire rings, bikes jumping over buses, there were long periods we had to wait in between stunts and constant excuses that there was something wrong with the vehicles,at the price they charge for entrants there shouldn't be anything wrong with the vehicles, unless this was part of the show to build up the audience reactions, not sure. we enjoyed the young chap on motorbike doing big air stunts off a ramp and my Grandson liked the big trucks

I try to be constructive when I review events as I know how damaging a bad review can be, I appreciate that what you do takes a lot of skill and is very clever and very dangerous. I think you need to re-think the show, if you keep it as it is then this needs to be reflected in the price. If you want to charge these kind of prices then you need to make it a bit more exciting and action packed no pauses no waiting, lots of thrills please

Good set up but possibly better for older children with a group of friends. My 3&5 yr old visited for the first time and whilst they received what was advertised it could have been so much more friendly and welcoming for little children. The guy in charge was obviously not doing it for fun as was barely watching the children. My son’s helmet liner was over his eyes for the majority of the session but it was impossible to get his attention. The end of the session was marked by ‘ now you can get out of the kart.’ You would expect at least a high 5, or did you enjoy that, maybe a thank you to parents/ photo opportunity or ideally a little presentation with a certificate. All these things have been done in every other activity I have taken children to of this age and really enhances their time.
