I’m an outings’ organiser and visited World of Glass today with the second group I’ve brought in 2 weeks. Every one of the 100 people who came enjoyed the visit enormously. The variety of things to see and experience is fabulous and the staff brilliant. A hidden gem and tremendous value for money. Highly recommended

I have just read the review from Joan324 and wonder whether she’s been to the same place that the other 42 reviewers have visited. 42excellent reviews and 1 terrible. That says a lot.
We have had some amazing items from Murray’s including tools and kitchen gadgets that have saved us a fortune.
I also use the mismatched plates and saucers for under my plant pots.
If it’s not your kind of place then that’s ok but this review is down right rude and totally unnecessary.
Team Murray’s have some of the most helpful staff I have ever met and their prices are amazing.
Love my moochy visits to Murray’s. Lovely to see you all this morning and put another face to a name.
Keep smiling guys, we can’t all be wrong.

Really enjoyable afternoon looking round the exhibits, with plenty of buses, plus oither vehicles including some classic cars, fire engines, police cars (and bikes), an old Blackpool tram, old bicycles and even an old Unigate milk float. It is mainly buses, but there's plenty of other vehicles to view alongside a lot of memorabilia.
Only £6 per adult, with refreshments available and toliet facilities as well.
We also managed to get a ride on an old Warrington Corporation double decker bus on a 15 minute trip around St Helens. Very friendly staff and overall an enjoyable and interesting museum. Well worth a visit.

I went after seeing 'Dream' on the Ricky Tomlinson/Ralf Little road trip across Northern England. I had once seen it from the M57 but was now inspired to see it close up. You can't in fact drive up to it as Ricky Tomlinson did - it's on quite a steep incline in a woodland walk created on top of what was the old Sutton Moor Colliery. We parked in a nearby street and walked up. 'Dream' itself is very dramatic - you don't see it until you round the corner, as it is hidden by the trees. In some respects it's like Antony Gormley's Angel of the North which can be seen as you drive into Gateshead. There are good view across the surrounding post-industrial landscape. It's popular with dog walkers and there are panels to explain the history of the area and the story behind 'Dream' and how it came to be made by a Spanish sculptor. As noted by others, curiously there are no bins or picnic tables, but it's still worth a visit if you're in the area.

Had such a great time at the Christmas panto , have been coming to the panto for years now but this year was the best ,the costumes , the effects, the staging and the cast were first class .We try to visit the Theatre Royal every couple of months and are never disappointed

This place is for Golf lovers really with a golf course and driving range on-site. The cafe is nice and has a few Veggie choices but during the winter it has a habit of shutting on Mondays. The park is generally clean with a small lake and a few ducks to feed.

Connoisseur Ales is a fantastic spot hidden within St Helens. They’re only open to the public on the first Saturday of the month and if you arrive early you can go on a tour of the brewery set up. It’s my go-to stop for any friends and family visiting. They make quality real ales and it’s a nice friendly atmosphere inside. Perfect for craft beer lovers and CAMRA members.

Whilst working away I wanted to go for an evening walk and picked well. Had a lovely stroll around the lake in the sun. Was well kept and looked after.
