    A noteworthy gallery !!

The gallery is devoted to exhibiting the rich and various history and culture of the Sikh people group. The engineering of the structure is staggering and is an amazing sight in itself.

The shows inside the exhibition hall are well organized and give a thorough comprehension of Sikhism and its development through history.Additionally all around kept up clean, and the staff is agreeable and accommodating. The encompassing nurseries and the water body add to the magnificence of the spot and make it a quiet and peaceful experience for guests.

Virasat E Khalsa is a must-visit for anyone with any interest at all in more deeply studying Sikh history and culture. An exceptional and educational experience will leave you with a more profound appreciation for the Sikh people group and their commitments to the world.

There is something so serene about gurudwaras - especially the big ones like Bangla Sahib or Golden Temple. Takht Keshgarh Sahib is no different. This gurudwara in Anandpur Sahib is one of the five takhts of Sikhism and also the birth place for the Khalsa movement.

Once you enter the premises you will feel nothing but calm thoughts penetrating your mind. The body automatically moves into a relaxed state. And time just flows. Its an excellent place to meditate. The architecture is beautiful and the while colour only adds to its serenity.

The karha / prashad is yummy even though its made with very less sugar and natural ingredients. The walk from the main gate to the gurudwara premises is quite a steep uphill one. My father in law had a swollen leg so the people in-charge at the gate were kind enough to let him drive up all the way to the main premises.

Gurudwara Garhi Sahib at Chamkaur Sahib has rich Sikh history, where the famous First Battle of Chamkaur (1702) and the Second Battle of Chamkaur (1704) was fought between the Mughals and Guru Gobind Singh ji. Guru Gobind Singh and his two elder sons alongwith 40 followers had come to this place from Kotla Nihang Khan with his Mughal pursuers close on his heels.
