Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We went to this church as it was being used to bless food offerings made by the rich to be donated to the poor. They were preparing the large Easter event with lights and other elements. The inside of the Church of the Spilled Blood is a total contrast.

One of the most interesting monuments dedicated to the historical street that I have ever seen.
The vice admiral stands on a low granite pedestal, pointing forward, and at his feet bronze waves break on the granite. Very beautiful!
You won't miss this monument when walking along the Anchor Square in front of the cathedral.

A former military site, Kronstdt is located in the Bay of Finland. This place is full of interesting Russian history, and is a nice change of pace from the churches, cathedrals, and museums of St. Petersburg.

This monument to Peter the Great - founder of the beautiful Imperial capital is located in Kronstadt on Kotlin Island.
The island is strategically located in the Finnish bay and protects St. Pet from the sea.
The monument is just a quick photo op and not worth going for itself, but it's in the vicinity of the fabulous Naval Cathedral which is a must, and I explained how to do that in a review about it.

Excellently organized excursion by boat, with an extremely skilled and nice guide, and the place itself is simply magic.

My son enjoyed to run about the Bastion with pals! You may travel on a boat, pass through the fortress, and engage in quests with pirates!

A very beautiful cable-stayed bridge was built specifically for the arrival of Emperor Nicholas II to shorten his journey from the pier to the Naval Cathedral and the Makarov monument.
According to legend, the emperor was afraid to be the first to step on this bridge.
The bridge offers beautiful views of the Naval Cathedral.

An impressive four-meter monument to Admiral Ushakov was opened in 2015 in the Sea Garden opposite the Naval Cathedral.
The outstanding admiral received his first ship under command in Kronstadt, which is the reason for the appearance of this monument here.

Yakornaya Square is the place where the Naval Cathedral of Saint Nicholas is. It is located in Kronshtadt, in Kotlin Island, near Saint Petersburg. It is a big square, where you can see also some statues and a garden. Beautiful place, from where you can see the walls of the Fortress.

Tsushima naval battle is hardly known to foregn tourists - bar Japanese. This is the heaviest defeat of Russian fleet ever and it happened in May 1905 not far from an eponymous Korean island during the war between Russia and Japan (1904-1905). To add insult to injury that was the only case in the history of Russia when six ships of her navy surrended to the enemy.
But rank-and-file marines are not to blame for lack of professionalism and pusillanimity of their commanders....
A granite rock is an upper and minor part of the huge boulder used as a plinth for admiral Makarov's monument some kilometer away, near St Nicholas Navy Cathedral.
