We spent about an hour or so at the historic site viewing the museum displays, watching a short film on The Nancy and walking the grounds.
Tiny museum built around the wreck of the Nancy, commemorating an amazing episode during the War of 1812.

The Museum is also located kitty-corner to the historic Tremont, once an elegant hotel and now home to a wonderful bistro with artists studios located on the second floor.
As well as being a very informative and well presented museum, we picked up lots of information about the surrounding area.

The original museum is in the restored jail and has an art gallery attached to the museum that has ongoing activities and art from local artists.
We were on our boat in the Gore Bay Marina due to high winds so meandered around this cute little town and came across the Gore Bay Museum.
