Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really enjoyed the visit to the sanctuary, it showcases all the classic Australian animals, koalas, platypus, kangaroos, wombats, dingoes etc.
We pre-booked the koala hold, it was very fleeting and I was unsure if it felt a bit like a corporation of using the animals for profit, but they do conduct important koala research here, just came away a little unsure if it felt a bit more like a zoo than a sanctuary. Others have commented here how the koalas in the sanctuary are actually from a breeding program as opposed to being rescued and unable to live back in the wild.
In general, we really enjoyed our day here.

I hadn’t visited the botanic gardens in a very long time. I visited it recently. A lot of it is as I remembered. I really enjoyed walking through the gardens. There are a lot of things to see. My favourite was the bonsai garden.

We used public transport to and from Brisbane CBD which was very easy.
    The views were truly amazing
The viewing platforms made taking photos of the many views to be very easy, especially panoramic vistas
It did get crowded on occasions when tourist disembarked from the many tour buses that stopped there. Luckily, there was a quick turnaround as they seemed to be back on buses within 15 minutes

Interesting place to entertain the grandchildren and consume some time on the school holidays. Some of the activities in the centre are interactive with participation and are both amusing and interesting. Our outing ended with a walk through the area on established walkways and make sure you obtain the brochure to "spot the creatures" along the way.

Very peaceful section of the North Pine river. Lots of families about and plenty of people fishing. Great place to catch some rays on a fantastic Brisbane afternoon.

The Bushland Centre is very good, and the people who work there are very helpful and kind. They have beautiful bushwalks, a free native plants program for local residents and many engaging activities and resources for kids of all ages. My primary school age kids and I went for an easy and very enjoyable bushwalk after some helpful tips from the Centre and a picnic at the tables near the playground. We saw a lot of interesting wildlife and learned of many other trails nearby that we want to walk soon.
We have lived just 5 minutes away for a year and didn’t know about this hidden gem - and there is quite a bit here to explore. We will definitely be coming back!

Whites Hill Reserve is a nice area of bushland and walks right in suburbia. Approximately 15 minutes drive from Brisbane’s CBD (9km) in the suburb of Camp Hill, there’s quite a bit of parking available off Boundary Road if required. A nice place for walking and koala spotting with a few hilly bits. There’s a cafe at the sporting grounds, or head down to Camp Hill Marketplace on Samuel Street for a variety of cafes, bakeries and restaurants.
Be aware that the car park can be quite busy on sports days but you can easily walk from the Camp Hill Marketplace.

Lovely bushland walk right near the city.Strapped the baby to my back and did a 4 klm stroll up some reasonably steep stretches carrying an extra 12 kgs. Some nice spots to sit and enjoy the waterfall and streams. Will return for sure.

I highly recommend using Koala Transfers if you like to travel in comfort and want to see koalas, get photos with them and see Australia Zoo. My partner and I had a great day. Adam is very passionate, funny and knowledgeable guy who made the day a 10/10 experience!

Theres some good walking and running trails with BBQ facilities. Relaxing with an inland bush feel, without being far from houses etc.

This is a little gem located off Paradise Road in Forestdale. There is a short bushwalk that takes in two lakes and there are usually a lot of birds around.

The Swain Reefs have over 1,000 separate coral reefs within its boundaries for the keen angler to try their skills in both the shallow and deep reefs as well as drift fishing from the big boat. This is some of the best sport fishing you can get off the Queensland coastline.
