Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We took the full day tour to Bruny Island and we could not recommend it more highly. Our guide, Nicole, was knowledgeable and just so delightful. The tour ran smoothly, and the stops were well planned. And we saw a white wallaby, up close, which was pretty magical.

Great tour. Phil was very entertaining and very knowledgeable. Well worth the money. We also had the privilege of seeing a pod of dolphins on the harbour cruise where the captain spend some time ensuring that everyone on the boat enjoyed the view. Thanks

Like this day trip very much. The weather was nice so I got to see the beautiful view on Mount Wellington. Walking in Mount Field was also great, and we saw a wild wallaby there. The tour guide was friendly and people in my tour were nice as well.

The experience we had on Bruny Island was surely the highlight of our holiday. The Island was beautiful and there were many things to see. We enjoyed trying the local produce.
I will recommend this tour to everyone, it is worth the money. Our tour guide Jody was very knowledgeable and kind. She will go the extra mile to make your holiday more pleasant.

Fortunately the seas were relatively calm the day we were on the boat. The rugged coastline and outcroppings were majestic. The sea lions and pod of dolphins kept us entertained. The crew did a marvelous job of seeking out wildlife and showed tremendous skill navigating the turbulent waters of the last part of our cruise. Exhilarating! The serene, solemn contrast at the Port Arthur site brought us back to earth. Great docent BTW! We had plenty of time to relax for lunch and then stroll the grounds of Port Arthur. Lunch was included and was delicious! A special shoutout to Ben (our captain) and Jo (first mate) on our cruise. It was grand!

Simon was a great and knowledgeable tour guide, his relaxed demeanor made the trip very enjoyable. Our smaller van went to Bonorong Sanctuary first and left just as the hordes of buses were arriving.

Great overview of the city of Hobart. Christian, our driver, was a lovely man. He was thoughtful and engaging. The tour deepened our understanding of this island community.

Geno was our host for the day, and he was fabulous! He had a wealth of knowledge about the region and their wines (and whiskies!), and was able to pivot throughout the day to ensure we had the best possible experience. Highly recommend.

We had an amazing day on this tour! Nathan was an excellent guide - and we felt looked after from the get go! Really appreciated a message the day before the tour to confirm the time he would pick us up from our hotel. Nathan was positive, professional, and funny, and added a great deal of value to our day. It was a long day, but perfect number of stops along the way. The Hastings Caves were incredible - a must see - and well run by a knowledgeable guide. The Tahune AirWalk was also great, with an optional 3km walk over two swinging bridges which was a lot of fun too. Would highly recommend to people of all ages (just consider there are a fair few stairs in the caves, but we were guided at an easy pace) - a must do if visiting Hobart or wanting to see more of Tassie’s south!

Great day trip. Opens your eyes to what humans are capable of. The historic buildings and location are fabulous. Be prepared to walk to get the best of the site. Very sad but amazing experience.

Despite a light drizzle we decided to give the airwalk a go and what a great decision it was. There’s a walk for everyone here and we did them all. Included in your entry ticket is a guided walk to introduce you to the forest and Bill, our tour guide was brilliant; knowledgeable, funny and clearly totally engaged in the environment he kept us interested for an hour and we walked away just that little bit more knowledgeable! Highly recommended for anyone wanting to experience the temperate rainforest.
The airwalk was surprisingly not scary and gives a great perspective on the canopy!

Lovey tour. It didn’t take too much time but got lots of interesting historic information. Was given enough time for some photo ops but did’t feel like you stood around for ages. That being said you had a good half hour at the top to enjoy the scenery. The tour was on time and bus was well appointed and comfortable. We had a nice surprise of some unexpected snow. Tony was lovely and gave us some extra tips on the way down which meant I had some great fish and chips at a local and got a photo of the southern lights!

I love a day when I am like a child, taken everywhere, without any responsibility to drive or think. Pennicott Journeys give you this in spades. Outstanding day. Its long (7.40am-5.30pm) but Alan was a font of knowledge and a fantastic driver/guide.

Lovely that we got offered a pick up at the hotel, great as we'd got into our hotel after 11pm the night before. Picked up another 10 people and off we went. Loads of information the whole way.

First stop was at Kettering harbour. There's toilets and a shop there where you can grab a coffee or bite to eat. Loved the ferry trip over, its very peaceful.

First stop at Bruny Island Cheese. We love this place. Used to get the cheese subscription for sometime. Met a lovely French girl who explained the four cheeses we had (Raw C2, Raw Tom, Saint & 1762) though I wanted to eat them immediately and not really listen to the voiceover as it was early in the morning and I was hungry. A glass of beer was also given, made in their brewery. Don't drink beer but told it was very good.

A chance to buy cheese and produce there. Lovely place surrounded by bush.

Two Tree Point beach was my favourite. Place where Cook and Bligh had stopped. Divine beach, white sand, blue water. Loads of kelp on the beach, what an amazing seaweed it is. A beautiful creek ran into the beach. Water was so cold and tasted amazing.

Lunch at Pennicott's beachside restaurant, what a lovely meal. Alan had picked up some fresh oysters from Get Shucked just before. Wow they were amazing. We all got swayed by Alan's rave about their fish and chips, so we all had the same. It was so good. Love how the Tasmanian's batter their fish in breadcrum compared to Melbourne where its mostly beer battered. It was a nice change. We got two drinks also.

Out to Malvista Rainforest. Only a quick walk to see and feel the rainforest. It was beautiful and pristine.

Headed to HIBA, property of two lovely gents, who have opened it to Pennicott. The gardens were so extensive and beautiful right on Adventure Bay. Michael is a chef and makes all the chocolates at the Bruny Island Chocolate Company.

Headed home via the Bligh Museum and Bruny Honey. Loads of samples and gifts given during this trip.

Really a fabulous day out and much to recommend!
