A long long day but well worth it! This was an amazing tour from start to finish. Totally ticked all the boxes and more. Having someone do all the driving so you can just sit back and relax and enjoy is the way to go.
The Brighton Beach boxes are even more cool in person than any photos you have seen of them. Colorful beyond words, great photo ops. Then on to the Moonlit Sanctuary, a bit of a bummer, no fault of anyone but the weather gods! It was blistering hot out so no animal encounters or shows were happening. Hard to wander around in the heat but we forged on. I think we would have enjoyed this stop more if it wasn't so hot.
Our stop for lunch felt rushed, didn't feel there was enough time to enjoy sitting down and eating before we left. In our opinion it would make more sense to either allow more time to enjoy lunch or do boxed lunches if time is an issue.
On to the Nobbies, a nice boardwalk walk to stretch our legs. Then at dusk onto the penguin parade. Insider tip do upgrade to the viewing platform not the general viewing area. Also I wouldn't want to be in the underground viewing area too enclosed. Best to see them outside and close by. It is a sight to behold all the little penguins coming out the ocean groups at a time, wandering over the sand to their burrows. They just keep coming and coming, thousands I would say. They supposedly do keep count, not to sure how they do it! A mesmerizing experience that I could have watched all night. You should also walk along the boardwalk to see them waddling by. Please, please do let them be, some people have zero respect and get way too close like it is a circus. You are witnessing something amazing, keep your distance and respect nature. The employees do their best but there are always those people out there that just do not care.
A great day!
