Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Take your time, and you might walk away with something interesting from this market. But be prepared to look as lot, because there is also a lot of stuff for sale, which is not very interesting. But when you find something interesting to walk away with, suddenly it's a good market.

We tried a “Franschesina” here and it was delicious. A smaller portion size than usual but a much higher quality of ingredients and super tasty. A perfect meal paired with a beer. Recommended, but if paying with a foreign card don’t let them select payment in foreign currency instead of Euro – you’ll get a really duff FX rate if you do.

We first came to the tourism office to see what we can do more in Vila do Conde. So in this time we likewise end up to this market place looking for fruits and some more items we probably need for our stay.

Indeed a nice open hall to stroll around finding what we did not intend to buy too.

We found some lovely gifts here. There is a wide range of art/craft items on sale, produced by local women. A good place to pick up gifts you won't find in the souvenir shops, and it's nice to be able to support local artisans.
