Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Touring the UNESCO heritage old city Cseky Krumlov gave us a first-hand experience how the ancient city dwellers in this medieval town went about engaging in their daily activities. Well preserved, well taken care structures and buildings were marvellous to look at and their artistic surroundings were a treat to the eye. It was a like a fairy tale city. The castle was a must see as well as the old city centre. River Vltava meanders through the old town and there was plenty of fun waiting for those who like a dingy boat ride or take a relaxing cool dip in the waters. Church was beautiful so as the town square buildings. The little castle with its tower was a great lookout giving birds eye view of the complex. So much to see in this old site that we felt that one would need at least two days to complete. There were some quality souvenir shops offering many things to remind Cesky Krumlov when we got back home.

Gustav was very informative and thorough ensuring we saw and heard about all the sights on the tour. Full day started with convenient pickup at hotel and guided tour through castle and streets of Cresky Krumlov. Even though we accidentally left the tour group, Gustav found us in town and showed us around. Maybe a bit too much information at times but would highly recommend the tour.

We went to this town in a small bus for a day trip, it's well worth it. We had enough free time to walk around the town on our own and took many beautiful pictures. We went inside of the castle too with a local tour guide, that took 1 hour. Great excursion from Prague.

Michal took us to Cesky Krumlov for a few hours. We walked around the beautiful little town with Michal showing us the most beautiful views. We walked through the area of craftsmen and the shopping areas, and he took us to a shop we were particularly interested in. We had a nice lunch and a short walk along the river. On the way back to Prague we stopped in an interesting little village that is a UNESCO site. Michal is knowledgeable about Czech and German history and is very willing to answer questions. He is also curious about other cultures and countries. I enjoyed our discussions.

So helpful to have a tour with a guide who is knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the town. She catered to our needs on the cold winter day.

We took a day excursion trip on our own from Prague. We did not join a group tour due to longer duration and higher cost. I found Krumlov Tours, exchanged msgs with Karolina who did the arrangements.

The company has a team of guides and other professionals who help out when work is busy. In our case we got Stepan but had to change due to my mistake on date of visit. No problem, she brought in Sarka.

We took a two hour tour. As we were restricted due to mobility issues ( cant climb steep slopes) we avoided the castle. Sarka met us in the town square and took us on a wonderful tour of the town. She has detailed historical facts, some great anecdotes and a warm human touch with a sense of humour. Lively and spirited. A registered nurse, a nanny and now working as a registered qualified tour guide having passed the exams. Her family lives in the town for the last few generations so she cares for it and speaks frankly about the city.

The hours passed rapidly. At the end, she took us to Papa's restaurant and even got the maitre d to call a taxi at the time needed.
Thank you Sarka and Karolina for a wonderful trip.

Beautiful picturesque town with many photo ops. Restaurants were ok, nothing to write home about and some nice souvenir shopping places. The scenery may have been compromised as it was Nov and not a lot of colour in terms of grass and flowers but still a must if you are nearby.

This was such a nice trip in a small group. Everything was organized well, driver was very nice and our guide brought history to life. Cesky Krumlov is like a fairytale medieval town. Castle is one the largest in Czech republic full od legends. We would miss so much of stories if going on our own. Highly recommending this tour if you have couple of days in Linz.

We had a fabulous morning walking around Cesky Krumlov with our guide, Eszter. She was amazingly interesting and shared lots of fun facts. She is obviously into art but didn't get too specific as she knew we were not really that way inclined. The really good thing was that we did the castle tour in the afternoon and we didn't feel like it was a double up on the facts at all. An added bonus was that Eszter gave us some postcards that she had illustrated herself of various buildings, building parts and views. She's very talented.

A great tour of many of the main features of the town. Our guide Jan was well prepared with detailed information and additional photos etc to highlight historic moments etc. His personal anecdotes and humour were appreciated.

We had the pleasure of touring Cesky Krumlov, Hluboka Nad Vltavou Castle, and the beautiful town of Pisek with Michal November 8, 2023. Michal is a wonderful guide and person to share the day with. Having a private tour with him was an excellent experience and he felt like a knowledgeable old friend shortly after we met.

We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel in a very comfortable and clean van and Michal had usb cords to charge our devices on hand.

As we were walking to Michal’s van we mentioned we would be missing breakfast at the hotel (he picked us up at 7 and the hotel restaurant opened at 7) and he immediately offered to take us somewhere for breakfast. We declined the breakfast offer so our first stop was Hluboka Nad Vltavou Castle where we walked the gardens and took in great views while Michal provided us with the history of the castle, family and town. The walk up to the castle was steep, but worth the effort as we were amazed by the beauty of the grounds and castle. We had spent just under two weeks walking many miles on cobblestoned streets and sidewalks in other countries before our visit to the Czech Republic and our feet and knees were sore. But Michal was ever so patient and matched our pace. On our way back down to Michal’s vehicle we stopped at a bakery as Michal said we had to try a kolacek - yummy!

After a few years of waiting, I was excited to finally visit Cesky Krumlov and I was not disappointed! Michal communicated with me after I booked the tour to make sure I knew due to the time of the year, the interior of Cesky Krumlov Castle would not be open for viewing and to let me know of the options available for the tour in addition to Cesky Krumlov. I told him of my love of photography and he made sure our tour included great scenic spots. We climbed the 162 steps to the castle tower which is a definite must do for great photos if you’re physically able! The town is truly charming. I think we visited at the right time as it wasn’t crowded as I imagine it is during the summer, and the weather was beautiful as the town.

Michal let us select the restaurant for lunch in Cesky Krumlov. We chose the Two Mary Restaurant (U Dwau Maryi on Tripadvisor) and the food was delicious and we were able to sit outside on the terrace to enjoy a beautiful view of the river.

The drive through the Czech countryside was very relaxing and beautiful. I highly suggest a visit to Pisek be included in your tour as it’s a charming town without an influx of tourists.

We had such a great and relaxing day, we decided we will visit Prague for a third time sometime in the future to take another tour or two with Michal. Thank you Michal for an amazing day!

Met Eszter at 1700 at the main square & we were given a fantastic tour of the old town, covering topics such as the local noble families who built & occupied the castle, a brief history of the city itself, and the local landmarks. Eszter is an awesome guide, knowledgeable & funny, so a genuinely entertaining woman. We try to book yours the day we arrive to get our bearings & this really helped us out.
    Money & time well spent!!
