Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

- zuvBucharest, Romania40,127 contributionsNot of a special beauty but they are interesting by the arrangement, terraced, on a steep slope. A quiet place to rest after visiting the castle.Written 26 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WenovoMorris County, NJ2,018 contributionsI love coming back. It used to be easy, walking down to the various terraces - levels , stopping to rest, take in the views. The gate by the castle has been closed.
The walk from the bottom up is still worth it. Just takes a bit more energy.
An entrance fee is charged at a kiosk set farther back by the steps.
My husband and I come here for the wonderful views and the memories .
Some of the best pictures of Prague we took here. The views get better and better with each terrace you pass. ...
Prague's Baroque gardens, often hidden behind high walls from the street , offer some of the best retreats from the crazy busy city, that Prague has become.

- PandamedicLichfield, UK5,917 contributionsNice little park to go for a scroll in and quite peaceful. Not exactly a park to walk to from the old town. but we had little scooter to get around on so this place was only a few minutes awayWritten 6 November 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Steve_of_N21London, UK3,646 contributionsThe large Strahov Garden extends on the slope at the Strahov Monastery between Ăšvoz and Strahoovská streets. It is actually part of a complex of the gardens together with the Opatská Garden, the Convent Garden and the VyhlĂdka with its vineyard. We only visited the Strahov Gardenwhen we found it out the back of the Strahov Monastery Complex because close to the monastery it has a couple of excellent viewpoints for fantastic views of the castle complex and back over Prague.
This one is not usually on peoples hit lists when they come to Prague, but if you are here for an extended stay then it is well worth looking up.Written 7 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Apparently it has been closed for several years due to construction. It is a pleasant walk on a fall day, not too many people,. Very few tourists find this peaceful place away from the maddening crowds.Written 30 October 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TravelingSoccerLoonSaint Paul, MN7,767 contributionsAs you exit Prague Castle after leaving Golden Lane, you can visit the South Gardens. Spectacular views of the city below can be found at the VyhlĂdka Na Opyši observation point. You can also take the StarĂ© zámeckĂ© schody staircase down to Lesser Town and visit the Waldstein Gardens.Written 22 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
