Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The funicular is the easiest way to get up to Petrin Tower. Without the funicular, it would be a moderately intense hike up to the top of Petrin Hill. There is a charge, but you can ride free if you have a subway Metro pass. It sounds like the funicular might be closed until the summer of 2026 for repairs.

It's amazing that it's still in service. I think it brings much history to Prague. It looks like new. I took just few photos.

Wanted to go up by cable car to Petrin but ended going by foot because of the long que. Walking took us 30 minutes. The way down was shorter because no waiting and the quick ride. Fine that it is included at a daily transportation pass.

This is a great historical tourist tram providing a memorable experience offering views of the most beautiful landmarks of Prague and the Vltava River. The city sightseeing tour takes you past Prague's most iconic sites aboard the historic 'Line 42' trams. The trams running on this route date back to the Austro-Hungarian Empire era and up to the 1970s and have been lovingly and carefully restored.

Tickets are valid for 24 hours and it was great to have the flexibility and be able to hop on and off at the designated stops. The train staff spoke excellent English and were really helpful with the slightly older employees being assisted by younger students. On board they provide you with a timetable and map. We visited Prague in December and the trams were beautifully decorated with fairly lights.
