The old textile mill factory's have been entirely renovated and its red brick faced, and outdoor fountains offer so many photo opportunities day or at night. There are some great restaurants and l highly recommend a visit to the Decathlon Manufaktura store as l bought a 3 in 1 jacket and other items at a great price and very, please with the service l received. Walking into the shopping mall you are taken back by the size of it at first and then you see the shopping mail information desk. The center offers a large range of clothing stores, boutique stores, cafes, bottle shop and liquor store, a large supermarket, Cinema City and much more definitely worth a visit.

The bonus took the tram from main tram station which was nearby my hotel which was cheap and easy to do. After leaving the shopping center and heading back to the hotel l did stop at the nearby doughnut shop Goraca Paczkarnia F-Wiatrak. Freshly made and delicious a great way to end the visit to the Manufaktura.

The street does live up to all the hype you read about it and definitely worth a long walk to experience what it has to offer. The architecture of the old building and the old street lamps make a beautiful statement day or night. Restaurants, bars, shops, nightclubs, cafes and cake shops, bronze statues, Side streets off Piotrkowska St offer some great street art, Rose Passage mosaic glass building. There are so many photo opportunities definitely worth a visit.

Humbling and important historical trip. The ghetto created during WW2 is a huge part of the history of Lodz and it is worth a visit to understand the town in much more depth

The place to go to get away from the city for a while. Very clean and well maintained, perfect for a relaxing walk or a picnic.

Great museum and very helpful staff! The main building is disabled visitor friendly too (elevators, wide corridors, nice audio-guide with great audio-descriptions for blind and low-vision users)! Not sure about the wheelchair accessibility of the courtyard (cobblestone) and huts (thresholds), you should probably ask the staff at the ticket office. You can choose how many exhibitions you see depending on the time you have for your visit. Will definitely come back!

A part of Lodz history and definitely worth reading more about the Radegast Station which will help you have a better understanding of the history the train station holds. As tens of thousands of Jewish people were herded off by train to the death camps at Chelmno-nad-Nerem in 1942-1944 and then to Auschwitz in August 1944. You need to enter the station building to appreciate the original floor and internal roof structure. There is a large model of the old station and surrounding area of Lodz ghetto which lights up when listening to an audio tape in Polish or English language.

From the car park you reach the station by walking through the tunnel of memory and a monument commemorating the Jewish people who were taken away through station. Cattle wagons and steam engine stand next to the platform and the large headstones highlight the destinations the loaded trains headed to Stutthof, Ravensbruck, Chelmno, Auschwitz-Birkenau. A memorial which honours the victims of the ghetto and the deportations.

This is a former factory, now converted into luxury apartments and a small area with a cafe and a bar. The cafe does excellent coffee and pastries and is a popular breakfast spot.

Last time I visited this ZOO seven years ago and have to admit that went through massive transformation. This is definitely something that city of Lodz could be proud of, and should be on a must see list for anyone visiting central Poland.

Tickets are reasonably priced and could be booked online in advance or bought at the entrance. Car park is quite cheap but some improvement could be made in regards parking spaces. Be aware of additional payments for no compulsory 7D experience in Orientarium. Prices of food at the food court are reasonable too, and choice and quality are very reasonable.

For even medium size group with young kids I would suggest at least half day if not a full day experience. Apart of animals and Orientarium, which is must see during visit, there is a playground for younger kids and a play park for older ones too. Everything seems to be in a walkable distance even for toddlers. Definitely will be back as soon as visiting this region in near future.

Good to see, if you like planetarium: You can join the introductions to the planet in several kind of projection. For example winter sky; Sky about Lodz ect.
Additional they offer the music presentation of famous group in the planetarium. Unfortunate I did joint Pink Floyd: The Dark Side of The Moon , but it must be good fun to be there during the movie.

It only costs 8zl per adult to gain entrance to this park. Initial thoughts as you enter is that it appears to be a little run down and neglected. And maybe it is or has been, but there were staff planting and tending to the flowerbeds, sp perhaps there is a move to tidy the gardens up.

However, in some ways, being left, either deliberately or due to lack of funding, the park has become like a countrysice oasis in the middle of a city. And that is actually very appealing.

We visited twice, two days in a row. On our first visit, we headed to the little cafe as we were thirsty. We were the only people there. We moved our seats into a spot out of the wind and sat quietly to the sounds of blue tits calling in the trees. I suddenly heard a commotion and then a woodpecker appeared. As I went to move my chair closer to the tree it had landed in, I suddenly spotted a red squirrel at the base of a small fir tree, no more than a couple of feet away. Initially I froze, but the squirrel didnt seem overyly bothered by my presence. I made myself comfortable with chair and camera, and we then enjoyed a good 15 minutes enjoying the squirrels company. Sadly we didnt have any nuts to offer but felt that if we had, it would have literally been eating out of our hands.

Eventually moving on, we spotted a beautiful jay, a nut hatch family and a solitary fieldfare. Plus many beautiful green frogs or toads in the ponds.

On my second visit, we spotted a red squirrel in a diffdrent spot that didnt seem as tame so not willing to come as close. Also more woodpeckeds plus long tailed tits.

The lilly pond is spectacular, and is home to many fish, as well as a coot family, some ducks, and beautiful blue damsel flies, as well as dragonflies.

Must as we were leaving, we spotted a bronze figure and a Polish lady insisted we walk through the shaded garden with her so she could show us the other figures as well as the shade loving plants.

All in all, a great place to relax and enjoy, with areas of manicured gardens, as well as uncut areas of grass making it feel like you really are in the middle of the countryside. Oh, and the perfume from the trees at this time of year (June) is amazing.
