Beautiful walking area in Warsaw. The more so as in weekends is fully pedestrian. Impressive architectural buildings, many monuments, cathedrals, restaurants and souvenir shops. It is a must see.

Poland´s tallest building - an incredible building, in a complex which also houses a congress hall, theatre, cinema.

The viewing terrace is on the 30th floor, with 360 views of the city. Tickets can be bought online for about €6 each, or from the ticket booth at the bottom of the lifts.

It is very conveniently situated next to the railway station with many people shopping and eating. It is basically clean and, like any other mall, full of restaurants. When I visited Carrefour in search of big fruit tarts, that I had bought in Krakow, I was disappointed to see that they were not sold there. Apart from that I could buy other delicacies, such as apple pies, although the sweets selection was limited. Negative impression : at Mac Donald's I didn't receive my order as asked. I don't know if it was a bad moment, or it is typical of Mac Donald's in Warsaw, because the same thing happened in another restaurant of the same chain elsewhere. Of course there are places inside the mall with more children than usual, and unfortunatelly there are not many information spots, as one may have to cross the whole floor to get to the help desks. Other than that the working hours are very convenient.

Views of old town and surrounding areas is brilliant not too much of an effort to get to the top. 10 zloty per person which I would say is well priced as it gives an excellent view of the old town.

This beautiful monument is dedicated to the unknown soldiers who gave their lives for Poland. Two soldiers stand guard near and protect the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with the eternal flame. There are tablets on the walls with names and dates of significant battles in Polish history. You can witness the changing of the guard as it happens every hour as they start from their barracks and marching towards the tomb which happens at day and night. At night-time they follow a green illuminated line across the Pilsudski square.

While taking photos of the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier l noticed the beautiful large fountain in the background so l decided to explore the gardens. Which are beautiful and well maintained and well worth a walk around to see fountain, Rococo sculptures,
the water tower. And a nice place to sit and relax after exploring other parts of the city.

I visited Chopin's tomb in the Lachaise Cemetery in Paris several years ago. However, Chopin's heart is here.

Touched the pillar and mourned for the genius who died at the age of 39. With the melody of Heroic Polonaise echoing in my mind, thought about that I did not have had any achievement at all when I was 39.

This is a good museum for Chopin enthusiasts. Letters, partitures and monitors to study Chopin's life. Unfortunately it was covid19 time when we visited - and they required to use plastic gloves which were not very comfortable for this environment. Anyway, it seemed to be dedicated for Chopin researchers, not so much for his music lovers. Technically and aesthetically nice museum.

After visiting Poland for almost 30 years, I'm still discovering what hidden gems Poland has to offer. The Muzeum Wodki is at the forefront of revealing just how a nation has influenced the world with its talents, especially in Wodka. The tour was very educational & interactive, taking you back a thousand years with the history of Wodka to the present. Ending with a pleasant tasting session which you can continue on in the relaxing roof top Cocktail Bar. A definite must see location.

The Polish National Opera is situated in the heart of the city, not too far from the old town. Once destroyed, but then rebuilt classic architecture building looks impressive. There are lot to see inside as well.

This is a little known museum that goes quite extensively into the development of banking, history of Polish (and other) numismatics, engraving of print and coin monies as well as the markets. You’d never tell this from walking next to the building. Worth a visit since some of the rarities there are absolutely stunning.

We had a chance to walk around the pleasant grounds and campus while searching for a book shop to buy some notebooks and pens. Attractive university!

A great place, but the chairs in the box are moderately comfortable. Especially cool interiors where the costumes of famous artists hang. The quality of the program is always at the highest level, and the location in the very center of Warsaw.
