Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

What travellers are saying
- global n95 contributionsThis is a modern museum with so much to offer those with an interest in understanding how Catholic Poles, Germans and Jewish people interacted with each other over a 1000 years. As a keen student of Modern history I knew the 20th century parts very well but to see how jewish and catjolic societies intacting in paralell from 900 to 1765 was fascintaing. It is a museum that later on tells the story that you would expect, but the first half is a fascinating background to that. The design of the museum is superb. I have been to Aushwitz and the Shindler museum in Krakow and this really lays out the longer term background really well.Written 6 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - OleksandrKrakow, Poland2 contributionsI highly recommend visiting this museum to anyone who's interested in WW2 history. The museum has several floors with tons of information covering different topics around the uprising. It has some interactive elements as well, like a 3D cinema showing destroyed Warsaw, a movie theater showing scenes from the Uprising, the underground tunnel you can go through to get a feel how it felt for Polish fighters and citizens to move underground (they had to do that a lot), and more.
I do recommend that you buy an audioguide - they sell it at the gift shop right after you enter. The narration is good and it also tells you where you need to go next. With the audioguide you also receive a museum map, which makes it easier not to get lost.
The experience without the audioguide would have been much worse.
Allocate 3-4 hours for the museum, come in the morning, buy tickets online to save some time during entry.Written 12 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I bought my ticket ahead of time so all I had to do was get in line. The line can be long, but they do usher you up quickly enough. Once you get to the look-out, take your time to check out all the angles. You can see the Old Town and likely some places you've already walked or will walk. This place is not spectacularly exciting, but it's definitely worth your time for the experience. It is also just across from the Hard Rock Cafe and the train station, and shopping mall. There's plenty to do nearby.Written 15 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- laura tPhiladelphia, PA24 contributionsAbsolute must for families with children and adults who are interested in learning/science! We spent almost 4 hours at the museum and practically had to drag our 10 year old son out. The museum is interactive, with everything translated into English so we could fully enjoy. We even had an amazing teacher/worker who spent over 10 minutes with our son, teaching him about electromagnets. Amazing and totally worth the visit. The inside cafeteria had great sandwiches and deserts for reasonable prices.Written 1 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CMCKent, UK1,165 contributionsA decent shopping mall, not spectacular inside but interesting design outside. Next to Palace of culture and science so could do both on same day.Written 17 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Dan KThe Hague, The Netherlands9,093 contributionsCompletely destroyed in WW2, and totally rebuild in the period after that this is a very interesting place to learn more about Polish history. Some
Of the artefacts and collection items are original. Some of them have been restored to their original glory.
I did it found staff to the rude. I saw many US tourist behaving in a terrible and disrespectful way. Trying to grab their coats from the cloakroom by themselves or even trying to beg for a discount or free entry as the two gentlemen only had time to visit for 15 minutes and did want to pay full entrance fee. Interestingly enough, it looks like most people complaining about alleged rude behaviour from staff are from the US.Written 10 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Lots of gaming machines - authentic, old, rare and new models - and you can play freely! Flexible hours, cheap ticket, pleasant and friendly staff- it's a shame I can't give 6 stars of 5!Written 6 December 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - CMCKent, UK1,165 contributionsI wouldn't say this is a must visit but there are some nice options here. Its mostly communal seating, but there is an American diner with those classic booths if you don't feel like eating next to a stranger.
There is an organic supermarket which we found boring and a proper supermarket downstairs. Looks like there is a car park connected to the building.Written 16 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Can't complain about that. The fountains could have looked a little nicer even if it is October. Would recommend if time permits.Written 15 January 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- thistle-do-nicelyKilmarnock, UK857 contributionsWent to the Nations League match here. The roof was closed, great atmosphere. Good access and easy to enter and exit. The only issue was the unusual seat numbering, but once you understand the system and find your seat it's a great view.Written 22 November 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Ian SLincolnshire, UK17 contributionsVery interesting museum, a little on the small side and only exhibits dolls and toys that would be of interest to girls. Disappointed that there was no GI Joe/Action Man or Tommy Gunn action toys for boys.Written 11 September 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
