Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The entire experience was emotional & inspiring. The museum was historical for background and takes you back to a different time when the Nation pulled together. The Navy boat that took you out to the Arizona memorial was, as could be expected, professional. The back wall with all the names of those who lost their lives was sobering .
There were quite a number of Japanese on the tour…one can only imagine what were their thoughts.

We had an amazing time in Kauai, and my personal favorite was Waimea Canyon. You can’t understate how beautiful the views were here. We went to the lookout and pay the $10-$20 required to see it, and then chose one of the hikes to do and see the inside view of the canyon. It is simply stunning! Can’t recommend highly enough.

Sadly, the volcano wasn’t erupting, but it was mad about something, because there was steam all over the place. Recommended lunch at the Inn. Great food, service and price was ok given where it was. Suggest driving down to the water on Chain of Craters Road. Also the Kahuku Section of the park to the south is a hidden gem. The road there goes to a gate, and if you’ve got 4WD, you can go further up the mountain. Well worth it.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour! Our tour guide was great. She knows her chocolate! The chocolate farm was stunning with lush greenery and colorful fruit and fauna.

We came here as part of a Pearl Harbor tour, but I wanted to write here separately to note that Lisa was an incredible tour guide and made our experience a great one! This ship is a cool part of U.S. history and I'd recommend it to anyone.

My wife is not the most confident driver, and, after reading dozens of reviews of the drive up, she was very nervous about this drive in particular... til she wasn't because it's super duper easy and nothing to worry about at all. We drove up during a clear afternoon, and are so glad we did. Definitely a "peak" experience. :)

Be sure to go all the way to the top, and be sure to bring layers. I am reasonably healthy and have no weight, heart or breathing issues, but I did have to take it slow once we got about 7500 ft or so, as I could definitely feel the thinness of the air with each breath, so be prepared for that as well. Worth it though: it's like being on another planet once you get into the crater proper.

My dad talked about Hawaii & and its people. After he passed, I wanted to visit some places he talked about. It was more than I ever expected. The people are lovely, and the island is spectacular.

If you do one thing outside Waikiki when in Oahu, try to visit Hanauma Bay. Don’t stress with trying to get tickets online. Get up super early and either drive there or take an Uber. As long as you are among first 300 people you will get in. We arrived at 630am, parked on the overlook across and waited for park to open which is 645am. We got tickets to enter at 730am, which was great as the bay gets more crowded later in the day. We saw so many different fish and some new coral growth and few sea urchins. It was absolutely amazing, although somewhat sad as most of corals have died from people stepping on them.
If you choose to buy tickets online and decide to drive beware that even if you have entry tickets the parking lot might be full and you might not be able to enter.

We really enjoyed our tour of the pineapple field, sampling the tasty pineapples, learning of everything done to get that taste and the processing of the mature pineapples. We would highly recommend this tour to others visiting from the mainland. It was very interesting. Plus we each received a pineapple at the end of the tour to enjoy later.

My one suggestion is definitely go early if you don't like crowds, but beach itself is very nice with white sand, spectacular views of Diamondhead and the ocean.

You don’t want to miss this place even if it’s a long ride to Hilo. Absolutely stunning with unique orchids all over. The views of the ocean are spectacular.

Sunrise was spectacular and worth getting up so early! It was a once in a lifetime

achievement for me! The crater itself was amazing to see after the sun came up.

Most beautiful beach I have ever been to….not too crowded and very clear water. Favorite spot on Oahu. Beach store in walking distance for drinks and great sandwiches

Beautiful beach. Big drop-off. Big waves. Not great for kids. Shady places. we sat at the back of the beach in the shade and out of the wind. Very comfortable. Use your GPS for beach access. Family oriented.
