Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Millennium Park is a beautiful green space in downtown Chicago most known as the location of "The Bean" or more correctly named Cloud Gate. However, there is much more to the park including the Crown Fountain, Millennium Monument, the Lurie Botanical Garden and the Jay Pritzker Pavillion which is an amphitheater offering open air concerts throughout the summer months, many of them free to the public. It is also just a great place to wander, sit on a bench, people watch or view the stunning Chicago skyline. However, the park is also very busy with visitors as it seems that everyone who visits Chicago has to see The Bean. Visit early in the day to avoid the crowds. The park opens at 6am if you really want to get a special photo.

Fun to see but the bean was fenced off for some reason put a real damper on the visit. I assume it’s either a short term project or for the winter weather. Regardless it was cool would like to see it up close next time.

A wonderful place to visit on a nice day. I stopped in Chicago for the day on my way out west. Chicago is an underrated city for shopping and beautiful lake views. Didn’t have time for the restaurants but would like to return soon

Skydeck Chicago at Willis Tower offers breathtaking views of the city skyline. The iconic glass ledge is a thrilling experience. However, long wait times can be a downside. Overall, it's a must-visit for the stunning panoramas.

We really appreciated and treasured the generous amount of time, knowledge & passion that our Chicago greeter gave to us on the day that we were together.

We first heard about this service from friends that discovered it while planning their trip to Chicago.

We registered our interest through their website roughly 6 months prior to our trip and received a prompt reply acknowledging our request & advised that we would contacted 3 months out.

The website asked about what we wanted to see and in particular what our interests were.

True to their word, we received a lovely email from the greeter that had been aligned to us and that is where the relationship began.

It was fantastic meeting our greeter for the first time. We felt like we had known them for some time from the regular dialogue we had with them.

As a first time tourist to Chicago we had booked time at all the major attractions.

Our greeter took us to historic areas away from the tourist trail and took time to explain the history and significants about them that we would never had known.

On that day we spent over 6 hours with our greeter - it was a day to remember and a day to appreciate.

    We highly recommend this experience.

    Thank you

    Mike & Lisa.

Our group had the most amazing time on the walking tour! We were visiting Galena for a bachelorette party and Ted did an incredible job helping me plan a private ghost tour. Ted is an incredibly engaging storyteller and we loved getting to see so many haunted locations around town. I cannot recommend this tour enough!!

I was glad the wife brought her extended battery for her cell phone because she took so many photos she ran her phone down to just a couple percent and had to recharge!

Not only did we get to see and appreciate the autos, which by itself was worth the admission price, but we also saw plenty of related artifacts and well-written descriptions of the artifacts' relevance within the exhibits. Plus, it's not all cars, there are animals, movie stuff, militaria, gangster, old west ... literally something for most everybody. If you are lucky and Tony is there, just ask him anything and he will provide your answer in an easy to understand manner. Four hours will pass quickly!

This experience exceeded my expectations. Not only was it a beautiful view of the city it was extremely educational. I have a new appreciation for the architecture and engineering of this city. It’s also a great way to break up a day of walking the city!

Great experience, great weather, beautiful nature and beaches, nice small group. Hotel located close to the beach in the tourist center, clean rooms and good breakfast. The stay program is varied and well-organized. The guide, Sebastian, showed us interesting and charming places, telling us about the history and curiosities of the island and its people. We had time to sunbathe on the beach, but we also did two hikes. The effort was worth it because the local malasadas were so tasty that it was impossible to eat just one (and only once:), not to mention very good street food at decent prices. The highlight of the program was the time spent at the Polynesian Cultural Center. This was our first trip with Rek Travel and I hope not the last.

Mike designed a custom tour for our Canadian high school robotics team members and mentors. It was the best tour many of us have experienced. He was informative, very knowledgeable and just a really positive guide. He even added elements of innovation, given our interest in technology. Personally, I have visited Chicago at least a couple of times before and this tour provided lots of new information and places to visit. Everyone was extremely satisfied with our visit of Chicago 2 hours later. I would highly recommend Mike!

We were going to a convention downtown, and knew we would be bringing extra bags to facilitate some of our conference activities. Having this booked in advance was fantastic. As soon as we landed I got a text from the driver David. He was already in the waiting area and gave us directions for claiming our luggage and then meeting him. He arrived quickly and loaded all our stuff. The SUV was comfortable and immaculate, and had bottles of water for us. Along the ride David offered tips and suggestions for our stay.

Our return was just as easy. He texted me an hour before our scheduled time and said he'd be at the hotel 5-10 minutes early, which he was. He got us to the airport in plenty of time for our flight.

If you want to get to and from O'Hare without any hassles, this is the best way to go.
