Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Not for a young person of sorts. Geared mostly for families with young children. They have merry-go-rounds and things like that. Some of their shops are under construction. But if you want really good food that's the place to go or at least partly because of Margaritaville. A handicapped person would have a harder time because of the ground. Especially if they're in a wheelchair or with a walker of some sort.

Definitely a wonderful half day for a family excursion. The Laffey took our attention the most with the very good video about its history. I didn't do all the narrow stairs, but felt I saw everything. The Yorktown was interesting too, but it is possible to tour Navy ships elsewhere. The Vietnam Experience was very worthwhile too--that was my era, and it was interesting to compare the feeling engendered there compared to the WWII mighty aura of the other ships. I hope sometimes there are Vets there to provide more details and answer questions. Also we took the helicopter ride, which was a very good value.

    Would love to visit again.

Great views of falls. Lots of nearby upscale restaurants with falls views.

    Several bridges over the falls.

Great landscaping and architecture in the park. Lots of places to explore.

There is a small visitor centre at the beginning of the park where you can get your tickets. Tickets are valued for 7 days. You can park near the butterfly enclosure and then walk through the zoo area where you will see birds, otters, foxes, wolves and more. Afterwards you can park your car at the garden's car park and visit all the different gardens and park land. You will also find a store and bathroom facilities here. Take your time strolling through the grouds, there is lots to see. Well worth it!

The best part of our visit to Middleton Place was the Beyond Slavery presentation. Gary did a great job of presenting the plantation's role in slavery in a factual and unbiased manner. The lady introducing the house tour was extremely helpful. The docents in the house were friendly and informative.

Such a beautiful fountain and park. Great to take a short spot and get a photo with the pineapple fountain! It was clean and great on a sunny day.

Great tour starting with boat ride out into the bay to the fort. Got to walk around the fort by ourselves or with a ranger talking about history of fort. Really enjoyed visiting this piece of southern history

Strawberry festival was amazing! Loved all the shows and contests they had, enjoyed watching the dog show and pie eating contest. Only con about the festival was how they charge $1-$3 to use my card to buy food and drinks, and even to play games.

So pretty! Whomever planned out HHI did an amazing job. The entry to this beach is absolutely gorgeous with the benches, statues, and trees. Impressed with the mat going way down the beach to help make it wheelchair accessible.

Overall, an easy visit with some minor complaints. We didn’t care for the layout to get to some exhibits, you can easily miss a few things (stingrays). We took our 2.5 year old, we happened to be there while a class trip was also happening. Hard to avoid something like that but the kids mowed down our toddler.

This would be great if your visiting and the weather isnt great, need a break from the beach, etc. We went as it opened.

Great bridge to walk and takin the sites of Charleston. There is plenty of parking and a nice park/playground to hang out at. There is a cafe and restrooms at the park/playground.

This was a nice way to spend an hour and since is under cover, you can go in any weather! The sweet grass baskets are unique to Charleston and worth seeing - all baskets aren't the same, be careful! There were a varied number of artisans, but not all unique to SC. I'm glad we went but I don't really need to go again.

Lovely State Park. Beautiful beach, many parking opportunities, wildlife visitor centre, walk and wildlife.
You will see many alligators, big and small here.
    Great for bird lovers too.

Really fabulous and we enjoyed a lot. We took the 7: 30 ish pm sunset one and it was sun setting on one side over the city and full moon rise on the other side over the ocean, very beautiful.
