Reptile Gardens Rapid City
I was very impressed with the artistic way each and every single cage, enclosure and aquarium, big or small, was decorated in its own unique way complimenting the reptile or animal it housed.
We both loved the zoo atmosphere, but also the mini sessions you could watch....like feeding alligators, working with a snake, etc.
Bramble Park Zoo Watertown
If you enjoy going to zoos, I highly recommend buying an yearly membership at Bramble Park Zoo because the national zoo network the they are a part of allows you to go to other zoos for free!
About 2 hours later you get through the entire zoo after seeing the Kangaroos, the birds, camels, and most recently the Big Red Barn which is amazing all on its own.
One room aquarium with activities (touching sharks, starfish, stingrays) and a small garden with tropical butterflies that is maintained to look the same summer or winter.
Excellent clown fish aquariums and we even had a chance to pet sting rays, sharks and starfish.
Awesome zoo! Worth every penny... Clean, educational, friendly staff.
We thought the Great Plain's Zoo was great, given the quality of its exhibits (especially the African Plains and Rhino exhibits) and diversity of animals (not many zoos have Komodo dragons).
You first visit the aquarium which highlights river and lake fish and turtles.
If you're in the area stop by the aquarium, it's free (Donations accepted) and actually pretty cool!
